The team has a solid core, and it's just uninspired, and unfocused right now.
I think that's a stupendously accurate way to put it brother. Given the level of talent they play the most lackadaisical and uninspiring offensive football I have ever seen. I don't care what they say in public that offense does not believe in Mike Tice or his approach even as much as they did with Martz. Martz is a very intelligent guy trying to pedal and dated approach but Tice doesn't even have an approach period.

There, right there. That's enough to call bullshit on it right there. Hub Arkush would like everyone to believe he's a BMOC with a conduit into the Bears inner sanctum and the guy has shit. Nada, nothing, niente, zero facts.
Hub uses the mic and his publication for nothing more than to grind axes with those he disagrees with or dislikes. Hub Arkush is a joke around anyone who know and follows that team and he has been for years. He speculates 100% and ends up being right 10% and that's all you hear about from him. What he called right not the 90% he called wrong.
Mike Tice is still calling the plays not Jeremy Bates. If Bates has done anything he brought the productivity of the Cutler/Marshall combo back up to the level that it was in Denver and that's about it. I would suggest that he also got Tice throwing to his TEs more often and if Davis could actually catch an f'n football more than 4 out of ever 10 times he's thrown to that may have been an improvement we could attribute to Bates as well because he sure made use of them in Denver.
And if Bates was really running that passing game the way he wanted to run it Devin Hester wouldn't be playing and Sanz probably would be since Sanz can execute the kind or routs he used Eddie Royal for in Denver when both he and Marshall caught nearly 100 passes. Jeremy Bates would not play Hester over almost anyone else unless he was forced to by Tice. Bates is contributing but this is nowhere near his passing offense in total. Not even close.

Soul, Hub worked for the bears for 7 years; you really don't think he has any contacts inside the organization? He's a sideline reporter and analyst for the last 6 and, You really don't think he has any inside knowledge? No contacts what so ever in 13 years of work? None? He's just making shit up? He's lasted over a decade talking NFL football; primarly in Chicago and he's not got one contact, no one, and he's never been called on his crap? Really?
