Agreed. I am wondering if Emery should consider trading trading down to get more picks? Is it a realistic option?

Not to mention later on when all those concussions really start to have an affect. Look at Jimmy Mac. Double D. Martz, Tice, and Lovie are getting this guy Fd up bigtime. I wouldn't be surprised if he and Marshal both want out.
You'd think when we have a good QB like Cutler we'd have a good Offensive Line but I guess that would make too much sense for Lovie.

Don't see him doing that IMO. Might depend on where we end up in the 1st at though, and where our prospects are rated on his board. Plus, I was wrong, we got our 7th rounder back, Price didn't make the squad.

I also thought we didn't have a 7th round pick.

In one of my few posts this season, I stated how I was concerned that the Bears offense could not score points. Now that the defense is worn and tired, the offenses ineptitude really shows. And I am going to be honest, I have not watched a single game in the last (6) or (7) weeks. Why should I have…??? I can honestly say that I really do not care about the Bears this season. Me and my family will never actually have the opportunity to attend a Bears game. Not at $110 a seat. ESPECIALLY not with the horse-crap product the Bears are fielding…!!! There is NOTHING special to watch. No stellar special teams, no amazing offense, and the defensive production has dropped off the charts. Did you really expect anything different…???

I sure hope the Bears do not embarrass themselves by making the playoffs this season. They do not have a chance in the post season. Besides, we need draft picks. This team in is serious trouble and I do not expect much out of them for at least several years. Why…??? The defense, which undoubtedly carried the team early this year, is aging. Several of our marquee defensive players may not be playing much longer. And if they do, it SURELY will not be at the level they are achieving at this time. For all those years Jerry Angelo was GM, the Bears have NOTHING to show for it. We do not have up and coming young defensive players. We have nothing, zero depth. And all of those years of nothing at the expense of the offense. The offense to which had finally found a QB in 2009. The offense in which finally was able to field a TRUE number one WR this season. An offense which has NO serviceable TE…no O-Line…!!! Thank you McCaskeys. Thank you for allowing Ted Phillips and Jerry Angelo to bankrupt this team of talent.

So what does that leave us…??? An offense that STILL requires several positions to be filled and a defense that is DANGEROUSLY thin. The Bears suck. The McCaskeys screwed this team in an epic fashion…!!! Ted Phillps sorry, fat ass needs to be thrown under the bus TOO…!!! This season was just another disgusting attempt for the McCaskeys to make money…PERIOD…!!!

I have to thank the Bears for causing me to lose interest in football. More specifically, the Bears. It is nice to have my Sunday afternoons free and not be sitting in front of a TV watching the Bears LOSE. Thank you McCaskeys, thank you for giving me my life back. Who knows, maybe one day when the Bears improve (uncontrollable laughing) I will start religiously watching again…but, I will not hold my breath…

The McCaskeys can kiss my ASS…!!!
Nags the only thing accurate about this post is it's title. They do suck.

I can understand your position about not watching or spending money on attending a game. I've stopped watching too and even if I did still live in Chicago I wouldn't be going to one either.

The rest is nothing more than a rant filled with lots of accusations but little truth. If you actually knew a damn thing about football and the team you'd know that but you don't. You are exactly like the fans that Urlacher was talking about that know jack shit about football.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

I double-checked. The trade was unconditional so the we did not get it back. Figures. We could of used that plus a trade for a third round pick if we wanted. Speaking of which, we could of let Chris Williams go in the off-season and probably received a compensatory pick for him, which could have been package with a trade if we wanted as well. As it turned out keeping Williams for "competition" with Webb was a sham I believe.
