Bears still suck...
And so, with the predictable loss to the Packers yesterday afternoon, another Bears season Is flushed away. In one of my few posts this season, I stated how I was concerned that the Bears offense could not score points. Now that the defense is worn and tired, the offenses ineptitude really shows. And I am going to be honest, I have not watched a single game in the last (6) or (7) weeks. Why should I have…??? I can honestly say that I really do not care about the Bears this season. Me and my family will never actually have the opportunity to attend a Bears game. Not at $110 a seat. ESPECIALLY not with the horse-crap product the Bears are fielding…!!! There is NOTHING special to watch. No stellar special teams, no amazing offense, and the defensive production has dropped off the charts. Did you really expect anything different…???
I sure hope the Bears do not embarrass themselves by making the playoffs this season. They do not have a chance in the post season. Besides, we need draft picks. This team in is serious trouble and I do not expect much out of them for at least several years. Why…??? The defense, which undoubtedly carried the team early this year, is aging. Several of our marquee defensive players may not be playing much longer. And if they do, it SURELY will not be at the level they are achieving at this time. For all those years Jerry Angelo was GM, the Bears have NOTHING to show for it. We do not have up and coming young defensive players. We have nothing, zero depth. And all of those years of nothing at the expense of the offense. The offense to which had finally found a QB in 2009. The offense in which finally was able to field a TRUE number one WR this season. An offense which has NO serviceable TE…no O-Line…!!! Thank you McCaskeys. Thank you for allowing Ted Phillips and Jerry Angelo to bankrupt this team of talent.
So what does that leave us…??? An offense that STILL requires several positions to be filled and a defense that is DANGEROUSLY thin. The Bears suck. The McCaskeys screwed this team in an epic fashion…!!! Ted Phillps sorry, fat ass needs to be thrown under the bus TOO…!!! This season was just another disgusting attempt for the McCaskeys to make money…PERIOD…!!!
I have to thank the Bears for causing me to lose interest in football. More specifically, the Bears. It is nice to have my Sunday afternoons free and not be sitting in front of a TV watching the Bears LOSE. Thank you McCaskeys, thank you for giving me my life back. Who knows, maybe one day when the Bears improve (uncontrollable laughing) I will start religiously watching again…but, I will not hold my breath…
The McCaskeys can kiss my ASS…!!!

As it stands now, we go into the draft with only 5 picks with our 3rd to Miami and 7th to TB. IMO Emery needs more picks to fill current holes and rebuild this team. Can't rely on contributors below the 3rd round, and that leaves our cupboards bare. FA options are few and far between, and no way to sustain quality.

Well we could really have used a 3rd round pick, but 2x3rd round picks for Marshall makes it all worth. Without him imagine how this season would have been. He'll be around for a long time and I doubt we could have gotten a better player with this years 3rd pick or next years. But ye we could use some more picks.

IIRC we got our 7th back as DT Price from TB was conditional-he didn't make the squad.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.
Restore the roar!

And just think, by time we actually get the offense straightened out, Cutler may no longer be playing. Then, we start our (20) year QB search ALL OVER again...LOL...
God the Bears suck...

That's right, forgot about that. Thanks!

This is a reality! Jay's career might have been huge but I think it is retracting faster than you think. He is beat up and i mean beat up, mcl concussion the list goes on. By the time we get a winner in place he could be in his 12th or 13th year and by that time he is out of football because our management thought our o line was sufficient enough to hold up. Poor B@$tard

To quote lovie i see a team that is close to being there as the score reflects//the years of limited talent added to the team reflects them today i'm also tired of losing who isn't //seems like just one player the magical left tackle has limited this team for years as the qb//the drafting of benson when the team needed a qb and had and all pro in jones was a huge moment in bear history//think about rodgers as a bear and depriving the packers of him//those two number one picks plus a third goes a long ways towards an offensive line//of course the two number one pick offensive tackles were depleted by knee injuries//

When a team can draft it's top play makers, that is huge. It takes pressure off FA as a place to get needs versus wants, and helps build depth. Drafting effectively is the most critical aspect of sustained success, outside of coaching. This why Emery was brought in. I'm willing to give him a few years because it takes a little while. We'll know within 5 years what track we're on..GB, NE or Cleveland, KC. Hopefully the former.

Yup, I'm worried about that as well. Did you see him at his presser? He couldn't turn his neck at all. No wonder he wasn't seeing open guys, his head can't turn! Not to mention later on when all those concussions really start to have an affect. Look at Jimmy Mac. Double D. Martz, Tice, and Lovie are getting this guy Fd up bigtime. I wouldn't be surprised if he and Marshal both want out.
