Yup. Ho hum. What's the big deal anyway? He can run inside better than Forte and he's a hard north/south runner. He also knows the offense and the blocking assignments. Fumbling is his one problem. It was him or Unga.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

At least nobody we're gonna find right now, a few days from game-15 of our season.
How much difference is there really between the 13th and the 15th game of the season? Didn't the packers find their new RB two weeks ago? And that is their STARTING RB, not their backup.

The RB that GB picked up used to play for GB. Ryan Grant played for GB from 2007-11, had 2 1200+yard seasons, and one 900+ with the packers. So yes, Green Bay went out and picked up someone who already knew their offensive system....

I thought it was a fairly intelligent pickup for them, seeing as how CB has been done for the year for some time. Surprised that GB didn't do this sooner.

It was DuJuan that they picked up and had a good game; the other Alex Green was a 3rd rounder.
and Ryan Grant is a former starter for them; that they dropped due to inj's; not a former 3rd stringer that was let go while completely healthy that no other team wanted.

To be honest, with all that is going on right now, it doesn't get me too upset that we brought back Bell at this point in our season. It's game 15 of a 16 game season. We're ravaged with injuries to key players (and in some instances, to our key player's backups too). With our failed oline, it really doesn't matter who we bring in right now. Unless we get somebody like Adrian Peterson, I don't expect much of any running back right now - including Forte.
I think we're all hyper-sensitive now, due to the failed season. Bringing in a seasoned veteran who knows our blocking schemes, playbook & who has had some solid games for us as a reserve in the past - isn't the end of the world.

Alex Green: 13 carries, 35 yards. .. http://www.nfl.com/player/alexgreen/2508119/profile..
Ryan Grant: 8 carries, 32 yards. .. http://www.nfl.com/player/ryangrant/2506140/profile..
DuJuan Harris: 5 carries, 27 yards. .. http://www.nfl.com/player/dujuanharris/2530690/profile..
Those would be the week 15 stats. To me it looks more like a RB by committee. However, both Grant and Harris were signed in December, so my confusion is perhaps understandable. I don't recall seeing much of Harris. Maybe GB was playing him at the end of the game when I was paying less attention (and drinking more...).

5 yards a carry is pretty damn nice though right, I mean for a guy that was in street clothes right?

Your right that is why every time I see Forte run this year four letter words come out of my mouth.

And really I'm just saying Bell isn't special; and kinda sucks, considering the GB guy was gotten off the street.

Ya it's been hard to watch; but if the OL/OC are cutlers excuse, why not Forte?
I will say this, a few games ago he did a spin move that looked like it was in slow motion; either he's completely lost his ability to move(I don't thinK) or he's hurt/never recovered. Forte has been as much of a disappointment as the rest of the team has though.
What's the cub's fans expression? There's next year....let's hope Cutler/Forte/OC(whoever it is) can get this thing moving better.
