Yeah, stuff like TE and OG are cheap on a relative scale in FA compared to LT. I just don't see any other way to get a starting quality LT upgrade and this is the year to do it since likely there will be some available. Otherwise, we are stuck with Webb at LT and he's as good now (not saying much) as he's going to get. He doesn't still have "growth and upside" like players such as Jeffery, Carimi, and Shea potentially have. He's at his ceiling, and its pretty low. If we didn't need an LT this would be a heck of a lot easier.
I'd put Shea's ceiling up there w/Webb's, and we agree LT has to come out of FA; I know that LT will be expensive, but that's why I would rather spend the rest of the cap on a OG and or a TE then a QB. and then draft the qb.


Let me put in this caveat; this is all assuming that we have a new offensive minded HC. I'm not assuming if Lovie is here they will be trying to build like that.
