Keep Marshall Jeffery and maybe Anderson ( the guy is hungry ) and trade for this guy http://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/te...6-228aac861e2a - there's ur slot receiver . The rest can go .

I've not done my homework on wr/te free agents and sleepers but I will add that...
Keepers: bmarah AJ and sanz (one more year) Adams (one more year)
Dump kellen Davis as fast as legally possible and quietly shop Hester, if nothing enticing comes along demote to KR only
Pickups: we need a burner deep threat and I like the idea of a 5th/4th rounder
Maybe ERod develops into a workable full time TE if not i like dusty Keller for a bandaide fix
Other than that I say we get a time machine and undo jackass JAs Olsen deal, if we can't do that I think he owes us all one punch in the gut for that move

That Olsen deal is all on Martz and Lovie. Lovie hired Martz, Martz doesn't use TE's except to block, he also doesn't target big WR's, he wants small fast guys.

who should stay:
Brandon Marshall
Alshon Jeffrey
who should/could go:
Bennett (too many injuries, and just not as much expected production)
Hester (only as a WR; if he were to refuse to give that up, then bye bye)
Sanz (he needs a shot somewhere else)
Knox (let's just face facts, even if he comes back, his forte is speed, and he ain't gonna have it)
Davis (no explanation needed)
Spaeth (see Davis)
Who could we pick up?
I would like Bowe, but he's gonna be too expensive
What would be nice, getting K Davis and Jared Cook. I think having two really good pass catching TE's (which puts further impetus on improving the o-line) would help our offense by giving Cutler legitimate options outside of Brandon Marshall and AJ (assuming he actually stays on the field, and gets better)
who do you think should/could go and who would be nice to pick up?
The won't get rid or Bennett after they gave him that contract extension last year. He's here for at least one more season if not more but he does need to stay healthier. I don't know if it's just bad luck or whether he's always had a history of injuries dating back to college but it's hard to depend on him when he's always hurt. By next season Jeffery will have locked up the #2 spot so Bennett will stay in the slot and we'll need a good backup for him there.
Hester should live out the last year or two if his career getting his return game back in order and set a few more records. Make him the #6 WR and use him for an occasional big play attempt but no more.
Sanz needs some serious playing time before we can make any kind of a judgement on him. The kid has mad skills as a possession receiver and if Bates takes over as OC he'll find far better use for him than Tice has. They've kept him thus far even though he doesn't play STeams so there must be a reason. I think if we play him he can surprise a lot of people.
I have my doubts Knox will ever return as well but we'll need to wait that one out. I'm sure they'll give him a shot at a comeback but I think at best he has a 20% of making it back. If not we should be looking for a burner somewhere in the draft or a UFA.
Joe Anderson looked good in preseason and he's made some nice STeams plays both then and now so he'll be around next year and given a shot at making the roster. I don't know what kind of speed he has though.
Davis should be gone tomorrow. I can't believe he whiffed his block on that FG attempt. He's by far been the most completely useless starter on this offense all year. Spaeth is probably worth keeping for his blocking provided we can find a decent all around guy to play along with him.
Going into the offseason the two biggest needs are a dependable TE and a deep threat who doesn't wear #23. If Bates or anyone else comes in as OC the first thing on his wish list will be a dependable pass receiver at TE. It's just too important to modern offensive attack not to have one. Give Cutler that and a guy who can run a deep post or go route and can't be covered man on man and we're good to go in the passing game.

I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

Yeah that challenge was foolish. He was kneeling when they pulled the ball out and the play had already been whistled dead. Lovie is about the worst game day coach in football. He really is and there's not much reason to expect any change in that regard.

Small fast guys WHO CAN CATCH A FOOTBALL, are fine. I look at Wes Welker as the perfect example of this. But the Bears forgot the "WHO CAN CATCH A FOOTBALL" part. They just got small fast guys.
Trestman - Kromer - Tucker - DeCamillis
I'm looking forward to seeing these guys coach. Hope they're good.

Hester! Hester! Hester! I can't stand this guy anymore! He's an overpaid waste of space. I know people see him as a "threat" to go all the way on any touch, but seriously, how often does this really happen? He runs backwards mostly anymore. He's completely ineffective on offense, which really bothers me to no end!
He had such great potential, if they just left him as a special teams player. They gave into his demands to expand his role into the offense, and I believe that led to his ruin. I mostly think it's his stupid decisions that he makes. C
Cut him now!! Get someone useful on offense. Please, please please!!!

Soul, you weren't a kiddin man. I turned off this slop of a game at halftime because eventhough the Cardinals are terrible at offense the Bears really were'nt that much better. But to get to the point I just fired up my NFL Gamepass to see what you were talking about and man oh man is Davis beyond terrible. He is the most pathetic waste of shoulder pads I have ever seen in a Bears uniform. He is so hilariously pathetic it is funny now. I laughed my butt off when I saw how he completely whiffed on that block. The guy just ran past him, OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!! This is what hard working Bears fans get nowadays for their money. And to think this clown is scamming us for our moeny to pay his salary and he has all year. He should give it all back and give Bears fans an apology. I have seen him time and time again drop perfect passes, fall on his ass, and just whiff on simple blocks.
It is beyond belief that Tice lets this bozo and JWebb suit up each week. I give up I really do on this year's offense. I hope they just fire Tice and take Webb and Davis with him.

Good points about Davis. I cannot fathom why he doesn't sit on the bench. To whiff on the block like that I would take Kyle Adams version of fail over Davis any day of the week. To keep marching Davis out there and at least sit him for a game or short while is nothing short of incompetence.

Think the question of college injuries can be answered without looking it up. Bennett set the SEC record for receptions even though he left a year early. He cannot have been sat out much. Since he doesn't seem to have a recurrent particularly injury (that is, some sort of permanent problem that recycles to continue to haunt) I believe the injuries are nearly random (I think that is the outcome of careful statistical looks). I don't have a citation on this though (the statistical independence of injury in NFL players) If anyone else does have the citation, I'd love to know it.
