    I think the idea was if we had a new staff. I like Ron as a DC, he's very flexible, he's able to adjust his schemes to the talent he has and isn't forced to fit square pegs into round holes, and is pretty good at it.

    every DC has poor games against ProBowl level players, but it's game in game out how good they looks

    Not sure why everyone is so down on Rivera. I want no part of him as HC, but he was the best DC we have had in a long time. Even better than Marinelli, IMO. I am not saying I think Marinelli should walk, but Rivera's D was a much more attacking D. It was a D to be feared. ANd he had much less time to work with them than Marinelli has had. I think with as many years as Marinelli, we would have had a pretty special D. I like what we have with Marinelli, but I would have no problem with Rivera at DC. My only hesitation is that I think he would be shorter term than Marinelli because he would probably leave to be a HC sooner.
