"Forte is fat" thread

Thread removed because it has devolved into an argument. Infractions/warnings provided, but as I edited posts to do so, I'll summarize here since removal of the thread prevents everyone from seeing them.

- Unnecessary profanity will not be tolerated. An occasional slip is understandable, but certain words will never be tolerated. Warning issued.

- Racist remarks will NEVER be tolerated. Infraction issued. To clarify... no racist remarks ever. If you feel the need to defend it by trying to define "racism"... you are guilty.

- If someone is offended, of feels the need, report the post and allow the moderators to deal with it. It make take some time, but if you report the post, the staff is notified and we will address the issue as necessary. Please give us time.

- Please do not attempt to moderate the board/thread unless you are a moderator. Doing so just devolves the thread into a "flame war" and while your intentions are good, you'll often find yourself in a situation where you must defend yourself. And that leads to everyone violating the TOS due to language, etc...

Moderators, or administrators, WILL address any reported post as soon as we can.

No bans issued for any of the multiple violations that occurred in that thread. Suffice it to say that the offending personnel (language/racism) have received the only warnings they will get.

Censorship. And you claim to be a right wing extremist? Freedom of speech has been violated.

"DaBears.com" is not the federal government, it is a private organization and can sensor whatever speech it wishes.

Freedom of speech? Sure, you can say whatever the heck you want to say. BUT there are always repercussions for said words. You want to use racist terms or foul language, feel free. But be prepared to suffer the consequences.

Considering most people of Jewish decent regard that as an insulting term when directed at them... I will take their word over yours or the "standard definition". Calling a man of African decent a certain derogatory term was also once accepted.

Bottom line, if you use a racist term of any form you will be banned.

Well then perhaps your literary talents will be more appreciated elsewhere. Oh, and the nice thing about this place is that we don't have to prove a damn thing. It's not a court of law it's more of a moderated tribunal and you have been found guilty. If you don't like the rules or the way we run things then write another book about it and send us all a complimentary autographed copy.

Instead of giving you a lecture on why you obviously don't know what censorship, right wing and Freedom of Speech is, I'll just say this instead. You have some choices:

1) You can accept this, move on, and never mention it again. No harm, no foul. All you have to do is move on and ensure to follow the ToS in the future.

2) You can continue to TRY and argue this point, thereby letting us know that you don't like our ToS (which is very clear on this) and have no intention of following it and I'll save everyone the grief and just ban you. All you have to do is respond in an argumentative manner.

3) Leave of your own free will.

That's it. There are no other options. Your choice.

You obviously have no clue regarding the application of Freedom of Speech. You want the freedom to say anything you want, however you want? Start your own board. Set your own rules, then you have total freedom. However, if you choose to stay here, abide by the TOS like the rest of us.

Maybe we can move this to TBS. Who wouldn't love a good 1st Amendment throw-down?
