Absolutely. Their protector is gone and they can not compete on their record.

It took Cower 13 YEARS to win a SB and the Bears fired Lovie after 9. Cower has been out of touch for too long to be what this team needs to move forward. Just say NO to the spitter!

Motown, the problem is you haven't been listening to the news, since last year. All reports were that the Mc's were taking a step back from how the team was run and that it was Emery's decision to make. Recently that was reiterated, and also it was said that the decision process had already started(prior to the final 2 weeks), AND making the playoffs was not enough to, necessarily, keep Lovie.
As for coaches, we are looking at young O minded coaches(like OC in Den). Not a rehash/retred.

Emery really did have the authority. The quick decision was evident of that. No doubt he informed ownership as to his plan prior to this week, but he pulled the trigger quickly. That was the right method. Compare to these types of decisions in years past, when we would wait days, or longer, while the rest of the league was already conducting interviews. I believe this is evident of a new management philosophy at Halas Hall. Kudos to George McCaskey for implementing the necessary changes.

Yes. We were the last to interview so the best candidates took other jobs, and we were left to claim the bottom of the barrel. With a fast start maybe we can get the cream off the top for a change.

Yep. Posted that a few ago. Only real plus is he made Tebow look half way decent. That and he worked with Marshall.

It was high time, and it couldn't happen until Emery got here. BIG kudos to the job he's done so far. Key words being, "so far".
I'm really looking forward to seeing how he rebuilds this team. I love the fact that he was able to recognize what the existing scheme and talent pool was, and immediately add players who complimented that. I didn't intend this to be an Emery love letter, but I'm genuinely excited and confident that he wants to both win NOW, and build for the future.
