Another way of looking at this?
Replace "Should the Bears have fired Lovie Smith?" with "Do you want the Bears to win championships?"
But then, Wisconsin would have burned off the map.
Honestly, this is all heat of the moment stuff. I do like Hester's assessment of 'false fans' though. Kind of coincides with 'false receivers' and stuff like that.
Smith established a cult of personality within the Bears organization, especially with his players. I expect similar statements to continue for awhile. We're not false fans, so we need to take these things in stride and continue to demand changes for the better.

I checked those results, and there is a subtle thing that perhaps should be noted. On the Epsn site map, you can see the percentages broken down by state. Most states are 70/30 saying it was a bad decision. Wyoming, Colorado, Nevada, Iowa, and Arizona are all in the 66/33 range. Wisconsin and Indiana are both currently at 54/46. I suspect the difference is either A: Bears fans, or B: persons who have actually watched all of the Bears games the last few years....

Ok i'll pretend im Hester.
Well that cluster of fans in Ill is the result of a skewed view due to the brainwashing of local media.
:)

You blew it. No way you are pretending to be Hester. He can't spell "brainwashing"

I like Hester, but I think the opposition is learning to defend him. We need a punt returner with his skill but can slam thru the pack like Payton. Several times he's jumped around and didnt get some gains he could have. But for the team the Bears should get a new coach the team will respect. I say give hester one more time, but if he wants to go, well, bye.

Lol @ Mats. "They may be false fans, but you're a false receiver, so we're even."

Hester is just mad because he knows he will soon be jobless...!!! Unless of course, some team out there needs a below average practice squad player...

Yep, of fans who are stupid enough to watch a show about fan opinions.
The more interesting statistic would have been a poll of Bears fans than fans of pro football (or the dumb ass show) in general.

Agreed. I just think it was one of those outbursts where the mouth was going before the brain.

I'm pretty critical of Hester's WR play, but I can't hate on him for being emotional here (he's always been a very emotional guy). I'm a pretty emotional guy myself. I might have done the same type thing in his shoes. I give him a break on this one.
p.s. I started to type "I give him a 'pass' on this one....but thought better of it. He doesn't do too well with 'passes'
