Phil Emery on Kellen Davis: He has the talent
This has to be my favorite part of his press conference. He talked up Kellen Davis, highlighting a few great plays from years past. Just brushed off his past year to not being able to do it constantly. Sure sounds like he is a fan. Either that, or (like Lovie) he is not telling us everything we want to hear.

The new coaches will go through the existing roster and judge the talent. Also, as we all know, this game is more than just "measureables" and raw physical talent. That talent has to translate into solid play on the field. K.Davis was not able to do this.

Listening to Emery, he came off as a man who though that Davis could do that. He sounded a lot like Smith when talking about players.

Kellen Davis has the talent, he just needs some hands to catch the ball.

Maybe he needs to spend the offseason with Tim Jennings and the JUGS machine.

It's going to be fine. They finally figured out the problem. Drake had told him to spend tiime with the JUGS machine and he had been really working it pretty hard, but when he went out with Jennings and saw him on it, he realized he had been working the wrong JUGS machine. The coaches have to be a lot more specific. Right now, the coaches are trying to break him of "cupping" the ball as it's coming to him....

He wasn't pleased with his season. All he said was that he has talent and he has had a few bright moments
