If he is only the coach... and without GM Power... he is the best guy available.

No he's not the best available guy, what did he do after that SB win? Nothing but go through QB's like they were speed dating.
And he wants that GM authority to boot. No way Emery gives it to him. Also don't forget that no SB winning HC has ever gone to another team and won a SB.

But someday someone will be the first.
The passion of a few, to rule the many, that's Washington D.C.. Where else was that said before, about whom?

But it won't be Jon Gruden.

As coach and coach only, Gruden is the best guy available. When he just has to work with what the GM gives him.
Gruden would never accept to that

I've heard this a couple times now in this thread, but a huge part of being a HC in the NFL is talent evaluation and collaboration with your GM in acquiring the talent you desire.

I cannot see Emery going with Gruden simply because he is not a long term answer. Short term Gruden might be able to get this current roster to the playoffs and make somewhat of a run, but I really think Emery is looking 3+ years down the road.

this is right. This is also the reason I'm not rooting for Gruden to get the job. All I'm saying is that for next 1-3 years he would be the best coach available. Not the best fit and not what we need. He knows how to take a team to a higher level, he does.

Gruden has it FUCKING MADE as a color analyst.
Would YOU be so stupid as to give up a cushy job to being on the sidelines at Soldiers in December about to be fired for coaching a team ?
What the fuck drugs are you motherfuckers on ?
