Great Bear. Might be the best LB Bears ever had. Sure fire first ballot HOF player. I wish him well wherever he plays next year.

Close, but I'd still give it to Singletary. I could dig urlacher as a Bill.

Honestly, call me cutthroat or bitter but if he voluntary walks to follow lovie I will root against him for the remainder of his career
That being said it wouldn't shock me to see him/lovie in buffalo their defense with Mario may be a good fit for his defense

Almost sounds like a jilted ex BF..... but anything he does from here on out will be voluntary as he is out of contract. If another team offers him more money, I would not blame him.

I've been a Urlacher fan since his rookie year (6th grade at the time lol) and I want his hall of fame career to end as a bear, but if he turns down a competitive offer from the bears (and bear fans) to go "die" in buffalo or Arizona ect to continue the bromance with lovie, it will be a black mark on his career IMO
For example my favorite player of all times was Kreutz but man did it change my opinion of him walking on the bears his final season (for less money)
Still love the guy but if he walks ill happily remember the amazing career as a bear and hope that his time in another uniform is a laughing stock similar to Kreutz

There have been a few legendary players who ended their legendary careers on other teams. It wont damage his legacy at all.

Well let's not hire the caterer for his going away part just yet. I read his comments even after Lovie was let go and he clearly states that he wants to remain in Chicago and finish his career here.
I think any decision on a new deal will wait until after a new coach and staff are hired but chances seem pretty good to me that he'll return for at least another year or worst case scenario his offseason rehab doesn't improve his speed and agility and he decides to retire next summer.
This guy is a Chicago Bears icon MLB and a future HOF'er. You don't just boot guys like that out the door and anyway if there is any chance of still winning a SB ring why would Urlacher go to a team like Buffalo or Arizona where the chances would be zero? I'm talking about basic logic here.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

If he left Chicago for a Super Bowl contender I would understand but if he left for AZ or Buffalo to be with Lovie I'd lose a lot of respect for him.
