3nag, what you are saying doesn't take into account that Lovie had A LOT of say in the personel after the SB apperance. Both in FA and in the draft. So he also gets a lot of blame in the team that he was given.

In addition to all of this, I look at our struggles at developing talent. That's coaching. Our players would sometimes go to other teams, and were developed into good players who contributed for years, helping their new teams. It wasn't ALL on Jerry Angelo.
I do blame Jerry though

Trestman - Kromer - Tucker - DeCamillis
I'm looking forward to seeing these guys coach. Hope they're good.

On a side note, that is the reason why I do not understand people disliking Cutler. When was the last time the Bears developed, OR SUSTAINED, QB play...Erik Kramer...???

But if Cutler has to many flaws to win a SB, you cannot stay w/him Nag.
And just b/c the past says we cannot, if you get an HC that is a O minded guy w/a history of developing them(Greg Roman, McCoy) then you cannot assume they cannot do it here.

Wash you mouth out with lye soap, we have had enough DCs as our HC to last a life time. Its time we moved into the real world and got us a Offensive minded HC. If we wanted a DC as our HC we might as well of kept Lovie.

I guess some place along the way you missed the fact that JA didn't make a move on a player without Lovies ok, except for Cutler which neither one had a chose in.

How does a (not BAD) HC, in his ninth season no less, allow for the fact that the Bears could not get their offensive plays in to the huddle in a timely fashion...??? His win\loss record is predicated upon the rosters provided by Jerry Angelo, so, it is somewhat misleading. However, is there an arguement to say that Lovie SUCKED in regards to the intangibles: clock management, play-calling, half-time adjustments, etc...

True, but, there are much more important things to worry about at this time other than QB play...
,,,if the Bears are looking to build, not rebuild, the QB position should not even be an issue.

Excellent work Jimmors. Most of the sports writers should be so thorough!

it's not linear, multiple things can be done to fix this, while also protecting the qb position. If Emery can solidify the OL and TE position via FA(possible), then all of a sudden it's not hard to deal w/the QB position in the middle rounds.
