Thread: Who do you like best among the OC's applying for the Bears HC job?

McCoy. He made average at best QBs look good.

He won a fricken playoff game with Tebow. That is more impressive than getting to the Super Bowl with Grossman.
He made Kyle Orton look good.
He made Leftwhich look good...

Plus, he is working well with Peyton (All Peyton, but according to the QB, McCoy is doing wonderful things)

He adjusts well with whatever crap he has handed to him.

McCoy is my number one pick. I feel that considering what he has done with Orton, Tebow & Manning that he can design a system best for Cutler and Crew.

There is no doubt of that. He said as much in his presser.

To build a Super Bowl winning team, it will be critically important to have rock solid coordinators and sub-coaches. I'd be curious as to what OC, DC, STC, OL coach, QB coach, WR coach, DL coach, etc, that each of these candidates could bring to Chicago. I realize they don't know definitively what staff they'd be able to put in place, but surely they have a general idea of some candidates (and schemes) they'd target.

I was impressed that Andy Reid was already assembling his staff for a new team, once he knew he was going to leave Philly. Regardless of what you think of Reid, it was impressive that he was thinking beyond selling himself as a HC somewhere - he had a plan and staff in place for a HC gig.

It's that supporting cast of coaches, in addition to a new HC, that's the foundation of taking this team to the next level. It was also part of the reason Lovie fizzled out in Chicago.

Some of these sub-coaches may be filled with our existing staff if the new coach thinks they're our best option going forward. And of course, they'd have to want to stay and coach here with Lovie gone.

So, while the new HC is critically important to the Chicago Bears as they move forward, I believe it is just as important that we have coordinators and sub-coaches who are rock solid too.

It's not a simple thing of hiring a new HC, and that's "it" for a winning program. It's a LOT more complicated than that.

Kelly looks like he's going to the Browns with no interview from us.

Emery is not going to fire a position coach or coordinator. That stuff happens when the new HC gets here.

If not, then I want Clemens from GB. Rodgers benefits hugely from the system in GB, they seem to be able to slot in reserves without missing a beat and they make good in-game tactical changes.

Either way, I have faith in Emery to do what is right. Im surprised Tice is still here as for me, its him who has underperformed most but thebuck ultimately stops with Lovie, so his sacking is justified.
