Is it possible he is being contacted for some other position?
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

I wondered the same thing.
Trestman - Kromer - Tucker - DeCamillis
I'm looking forward to seeing these guys coach. Hope they're good.

Why would he hire a coach before hiring the hc? That's not good, either.

The point is, Emery hasn't really set his print on the team yet, and something like this is auspicious...
Why not? We seem to be OK with NCAA College Coaches moving up to the NFL, and those arent even Pro teams.
I give credit to Emery for casting his net wide and deep. The right guy will be the right guy, regardless of his background or where he coaches now. Im not going to disregard a CFL coach simply because he is coaching up in Canada, if he can coach and lead a team, thats all that should matter.
Doubtful this guy gets the job, but again...kudos to Emery for looking under every rock as it were.
I'm trying//to let go//of maybe//but maybe's just so//very interesting//Oh, what a thing.

I agree. He wouldn't do that. But maybe finding out about a few potential people, but he wouldn't hire without the HC coach on board with the idea.
But, I guess that sounds pretty weird too. So probably these guys are just HC candidates.

Jesus Christ Phil. Please put down the crack pipe.
Trestman is coaching in Canada for a reason. Have you guys ever watched a CFL game? I did watch one quarter of a game a few years ago and it was terrible. Seriously, an average AMERICAN college team is a thousand times better than a CFL team.

Thought the same thing until I saw all his college and nfl experience at the oc/qbc level. His resume is as stacked as any current NFL OC/QBC/ST guy.

Bud Grant. Marv Levy
and "playoff caliber team" ? If the Bears were/are, they'd be in it to win it now.
