The Bears just need to worry about getting a coach that can win the Lombardi trophy, not rename it.

Regarding the age issue, Papa Bear was still winning world championships in his late 60's. Tom Coughlin is winning Super Bowls in his mid 60's. Bill Parcells was solid as an older coach. How about in other sports - I still believe Phil Jackson is able to win a few more world championships, and he has to be pushing 70 now.

Heck, Bill Belechik is now in his 60's. He still seems to be a good coach.

Yeah, and even so, why would a coach's virility to allow him to be in the nfl 10 years from now even get a leg up on the competition? I understand no one wants another William Henry Harrison, but it's not gonna be a problem, as Ruc pointed out, is that coaches very rarely stay with a team for very long.

I think this scenario (Cutty being pushed onto any potential HC) is pretty similar to how upper management told Emery that he had to work with Lovie for at least one year. GMs like bringing in their own head coach, as much as, head coaches like bringing in their own quarterbacks. Cutty is being made out to be a large piece of the puzzle and it could backfire in the end. Burris summed it up though.. we just need to worry about getting a coach that can win the Lombardi.
