IF, IF Teo dropped to us, this would be a much more critical decision than what we can answer with what we know. However, based on my observations, I think I really like Lil Bears logic here. There are always going to be guys that are "there" when we pick and represent the more "sexy" pick, but that's exactly how you end up with a bad O-Line, it's ignored for years because someone else is always "sexier". Let's just fix this damn line once and for all and move on.

Manti, in a heartbeat. You can't let one game change your opinion, and if we're getting top 5 talent at a position that makes a rebuild on defense unnecessary. If this is another reiff/mclellan situation but for the offense, i'd be pissed.

Barret Jones and for the record you heard it here first 2 weeks ago : )
It would be a tough decision but in the end it's jones all the way it's time we get a real rock and a man in the middle for the next decade like Kreutz was
Besides lmao I want to see him shove cutler next time he had a temper tantrum LMAO jk

I like him as our 1st round pick because I see him becoming our Olin Kreutz of the next decade. If he takes over at OC right away, maybe Garza can give us another quality option at OG. If Garza stays at OC for one more year, BJones can start at OG and then move to the middle next year. And he's likely to be a late 1st rounder so available at #20.

Maybe draft Jones and put Shea McClellin in at MLB since he'll be a waste of a roster spot if they're gonna try to use him on the D-line.

Yeah, reminiscent of BU when we had an inferior D-line and would get swallowed up to a non-factor. Pass.

If Garza is good enough for another year Jones could play left guard and then shift to center when Garza retires.
You don't waste a 1st round #20 overall pick on a OG or OC. Jones isn't a once every 10 years guy. You can find starting players at those positions later in the the Draft with the 4th or 5th.
Tell me how many starting LBs you will find that late.
We need help now. We need players that are a sure thing from day 1. We have enough Cap Space to get 1 OT. We have enough Cap Space to get a OG that would be better.
Tell me about the LBs and who is able to start, will be available and won't cost that much? Looking at the FA list, I don't see anybody that would be better than Roach or BU. Roach isn't a starter and BU done. Trade high picks again for a 28 year old player at his postion? No.
This leaves us taking Te'o or Ogletree over Jones or another OL Player in the 1st.
I look at guys like Branden Albert (KC) over Clady and Long. Clady already is known to go to the money ("want to be paid as Top3 LT") and Long will be that great former 1st overall pick. I'd take them all, don't get me wrong. Albert is a damn good LT and is overseen because of the team he plays now.
Albert - Draft Pick 2nd round - Garza - Louis - Carimi/Scott
That line looks good enough for me.
Briggs - Roach - Hayes
Briggs - Te'o - Roach (or switch Teo and Roach)
what LB group looks better to you? Give me the 2nd with DeCicco and Hayes as backups.

With the 20th pick, you dont hope for a once in a generation, or a once every five or 10 year player. That is reserved for a top five pick. With a late round pick, you hope that whatever falls to you is worth a first round pick.

Tell me how many all-pro centers you will find in the 4th or 5th round? Jones is not just an average offensive lineman, he's a guy that could easily start for the next ten years.

Sorry, not for me. We don't know how much cap space we'll have left, so I don't know if the Bears can afford a guy like Albert who wants big money. We still need Peppers to restructure his contract, then we new contracts for Melton, Roach, Louis and maybe an offensive lineman in FA.
