I'm not a big fan of Babich, so I'd have to agree on that.

I'd take Mike as the LB Coach with possibly Assistant Head Coach duties as well.

Babich has made Nick Roach look like a passable starting LB, I'm fine with him. Hiring Singletary in any capacity would be a total PR move for the meatball fans.

A move to LB coach would be a lateral move, so don't see that happening. And I don't see him as HC either.

But how familar is he with the Cover 2?

I have no problem with keeping Rod, and I have no problem with taking Mike as DC. I don't think the next H.C should be a defensive mind.
The rule book is constantly being rewritten to favor the O and diminishing the D, it's time the Bears wake up and smell that fact.
Just my opinion.

This was a no-brainer - given that the bears were/are interviewing another special teams coach (Falcons?).

Pop Warner coaches will follow the week after that.
I was thinking of throwing my hat into the ring. I'm a pastor of a small church in rural south central Nebraska. But I have helped coach my 3rd grade daughter's basketball team.

You'd definitely qualify.
Last night I was carrying out the garbage cans to the curb for today's pickup. Some of the other guys on the block were hauling theirs out to the curb too. We got talking about the Bears and I was saddened to learn that - apparently - I'm the only guy on the block that wasn't interviewed by Emery for the Bears HC job. Even one of the wives was interviewed because she coaches the pre-school soccer team.

p.s. On a more serious note, that's cool that you're a pastor.
