Really seems Emery is trying to make the Bears as tv friendly as possible (hits up anyone who knows how to run an offense, wants a coach that shows emtion a lot more, gonna cut the list to two and probably have his LeBron moment), so I imagine he's gonna get the right guy, but whoever would suffer angry outburts often. I don't see that in Toub.

Been thinking this for awhile. MITE seem the Bears are pumping up the resale value of the team ( future). Big hit when Virginia goes. Business wise it does make sense to max out value. Think Jerry Jones and his shit team(s). Always in the media.
The passion of a few, to rule the many, that's Washington D.C.. Where else was that said before, about whom?

So... no need to find a new MLB if BU doesnt come back? That quote above made me sick, kinda like saying Drake made BM good this year.Different caliber players but still crappy coaches.

It was under Babich that Briggs entered the league and became a perennial pro bowler. It was under Babich that we have had low talent guys like Hx2 and Roach step into the lineup and look good (albeit beside two pro bowlers). A fringe starter like Roach stepping into Brian's spot and looking decent says something about the guy teaching him. The above quote makes me sick that we compare a guy who has developed exactly zero Pro Bowlers from their start in the league (Knox was a ST selection) and is universally known to suck donkey farts, to a guy who had a hand in Briggs' development to superstud and Brian's DPOY award within a year of being on the job. Those guys are talented, no doubt, and Brian won his in his prime as a previously elite player, but the talent he has been given has at the very least improved on a regular basis under his tutelage. I repeat, I'm fine with Babich if the new coach doesn't want a fresh new staff and Mike Singletary=meatball fan hire.

agree that if Rod left i'd consider him as DC but certainly not HC
and thats only really because I love the guy. prob not a wise move in any capacity, unless he wants to replace BU54 :D

Rick Dennison new front runner for Bears HC?
All along I have wanted Mike McCoy to get the Bears HC gig, but personally I might have a new front runner. Rick Dennison, Houston Texans OC. He was Jay's OC in Denver, Bates would likely be kept, we has worked with Marshall and knows how the two work together and seems to actually like Jay. A Houston reporter also points out he knows offense AND DEFENSE!
These are my top two choices.

Benji, you butt head! I hit this thread because I thought you had actual "news" about Dennison being the new front runner, not that YOU have simply placed him there.
Ah, it's OK, there is a sucker born every minute and this minute happens to be mine. Just for the record, I like Dennison as well. However, I have been to a couple of Texans sights and the general feelings are indifference as they believe he is merely a puppet for the HC and he is very replaceable. Doesn't really mean a great deal, but like us, no one is more familiar with these teams than the fans of each.

Have to say I agree with you all along.
I'd can't chose who I would like more. McCoy or Dennison. All I know is that Emery can pick whoever he wants and I trust in him. Dennison knows Jay and Marsh, would keep Bates. That's a plus for sure. He is the OC of a great Oline too. He has a WR as Johnson, uses his TEs and he made Schaub look better than ever in my mind. The next plus is, they throw and run the ball well. Forte and Bush could end up as good as Foster + whoever his #2 was this year -by the numbers

Here's my concern w/Dennison...that O is stocked w/talent and has been shut down lately, specifically shut down in the RZ. I heard some Tx sports guys talking about the Texans and it sounded very much like the Orton days, move from 20 to 20, but not inside them. They said the Tx O gets VERY conservative inside the RZ.
