mccoy or arians... he is waiting for one of these guys
if this is the move they make they are going on the cheap cause of eating lovie contract
I remember years ago, I created a myspace page of a hot blonde girl. Then I contacted my friend while using the bogus account. We IM'd for a couple hours, and I got him to reveal some pretty embarassing stuff. Then at the end, I got all weird on him and told him to meet in a graveyard (at night). So after he was mulling it over (lol), I spilled the beans and had a terrific laugh.
I've since nicknamed him Tube socks.
Haha... great memories, indeed.
Have there been any deceased individuals included in the search yet? We're getting close to that point. Only 7 billion people on earth as of 2013.
Emery might have taken a page from Angelo - keep'em guessing all the way to the announcement.
If so, let's hope that's the only overlap he has with that stooge.
I dont know if he has a specific candidate in mind, but i think he definitely knows what he wants and what this team needs.
Why is suddenly everyone so fired up about Trestman? Ski and I seem to be the only ones who are still not sold on this guy. Yes, he has worked in the NFL before, he knows how to develop QBs etc.
But if he's so good and so qualified, why hasn't he been offered an NFL job in those five years? Isn't that suspicious that not a single team out of 32 got him a job? HC, OC, QB... Nothing!
Let me ask you something, if you were that good, would you rather stay and coach in the NFL or go waste your time in a league that absolutely nobody cares about, not even Canadiens?
Yes, we all know nothing about this and the decision making, but you can't claim that a guy who hasn't been in the NFL for five years is a better option than guys like Clements, Arians, McCoy or Dennison. Guys that actually HAVE been working with all-pro NFL players all along.
Call me a nagger if you want, but I'd rather have one of the other twelve candidates than him.
Who is fired up about him? I think people are just saying don't rule the guy out. If anyone is fired up about him, it's the people who don't like the idea of hiring him... like you.
How do you know he wasn't offered to interview for a coordinator job? Oh wait, you don't. You're being a bit... fired up about it. The report I heard on the radio said the guy wanted to get head coaching experience. He didn't want to be an OC anymore. He wanted to lead his own team. He didn't have any offers to be a head coach in the NFL so he went down a level. Every where he went as a coordinator at the NFL level, the offense saw a production increase. Any time he was fired as an OC, it was the head coach that got the axe. It happened with George Seifert and the 49ers. It happened with Vince Tobin and the Cards. It happened with Bill Callahan and the Raiders. The guy doesn't appear to have been fired without it being the result of a new coach being brought in, and that coach cleaning house.
The guy is pretty highly thought of in NFL coaching circles.
I'm not sure anyone is claiming he's clearly better than anyone. I think people are saying that presuming he's clearly worse could be foolish. I think that's the point.
Really? You'd rather have Singletary? I'm glad you're not making the call then. No one is worse than Singletary.
