Two HC candidates that interviewed with Chicago said they never have interviewed with anyone as prepared and detailed as Bears GM Phil Emery that's our boy
Emery knows what he wants.

Maybe Emery just wants to see a lot of the country and is willing to do it on the Bears dime? J/K
Good Idea on making a List Shark. I'll trust Emery to check it twice though.
Surprised the list isn't longer though...
"Professional Armchair Quarterback" and other oxymora.....

It IS longer. There are no college coaches on here. You know, the ones he said he would not name to protect their recruiting class?

Emery will finish Round 1 sunday with Arians. After that, we will hear next monday about who will get a 2nd interview. I think teams like DEN or HOU (McCoy or Dennison) would allow them to get this 2nd interview during the week if they win this weekend. Emery will travel to them to get it done. If they lose, it will be easier for sure.
Think at the end of next week we know who will be the next HC.

That's about what I expected of him. I think the Bears are in for some winning seasons. My concern is the timing of this and the ability to get the best assistants.

I'd be ticked enough to take him off the candidate list if I truly believed I couldn't trust a man to keep Bears matters confidential when I instructed him to do so.
Jimmy Jones knows this.
So why did Jones do this? What's the motivation here? To take Trestman out at the knees? Or is he just an egotistical guy who wanted to puff out his chest and brag that he (Jones) is somehow the genius guy who taught these two protege's the ropes?
The real question is why Trestman would have shared something so sensitive with him. Any you are right. Emery doesn't seem like the kind of person to appreciate indiscretions.

Because Jimmy Johnson is his mentor maybe?

I didn't see anything in Johnson's tweet that specified head coach. Could it be possible that the coaches that are high on Emery's list want Trestman as their OC?
