    Well, its not really "sad" per se. Its a common sense rule that protects the playoff team from unnecessary distractions. Playoffs are stressful enough, playing against the top teams in the conference for a chance at winning a championship, having one of your lead coaches distracted about his possible new job and responsibilities can affect his performance on the field.

    I feel bad for Browns fans. They finally get players with long term potential and wisely spent 2 1sts on QB and RB, and a 2nd on wr, still lose because of division and get rid of everybody. Honestly, I think Weems has potential, and should be easier to work with than Cam, who had a horrible 1st half to the season. I think Dwayne Bowe would be a perfect FA signing here, because he's young, should be cheap (bad year because of qb play) and would give cleveland a true #1 wr. I think with the right coaching staff, and the right offseason pickups, they could be a darkhorse for the afc north. Pit is starting to lose it, Baltimore is at the end of it's great defensive era and Cin is nothing more than a wildcard team.

    I like Dennison cuz of his OL prowess
    I like McCoy & Trestman cuz of their Cutler connections and what they've done with QBs.
    I like Arians cuz of his HC experience and impressive track record with Indy.

    Why can't I have everything I like?

    even if the Team would allow it, we couldn't talk with McCoy/Dennison again? That's not good for us.

    Can we wait 1-2 weeks longer until the Championship games are over? I think we can. We want that coach for more than next season. We want the best guy for us and we want the guy that will help us most now and in the future. I think waiting 2 weeks longer wouldn't be a problem.
    If it's a coin flip decision and Emery has 2 guys he wants, this could answer him the question.

    I think the rule is, after this Sunday, coaches on teams still alive cant be re-interviewed until the off week before the SB. I agree that it is better to get the right guy a little later than the wrong guy (if there is one) a little sooner. But I'm rooting for Denver and Houston to lose this weekend anyway to remove any remaining obstacles.

    I think it would only be one week if I'm correct. I think that the off week before the SB, that teams are allowed to interview, but maybe someone can either back that up or dispute it.
