Do you think Emery is considering any of these as...

Maybe this is a stupid idea on my part, but could some of these guys Emery is interviewing be coordinator possibilities for us? Obviously the top tier candidates are HC material. But some of the guys look more like 2nd tier material for a HC role in 2013.

I don't care if Arians or McCoy tbh. Arians age just worries me
I have to concur, hockey does indeed suck; I don't think this is new news to anyone.

My guess is that these two guys are at or very near the top of the list and you have to think that some of the others may get an interview just to see who might be interested in coming in as an OC under a new HC.

Of the two McCoy has age on his side whereas Arians probably shines as a developer of QBs and Cutler could still use that. His mechanics and his decision making both need improvement so anyone who can do that gets moved up a rung or two on the prospects ladder as far as I'm concerned. You also have to look at the job he did from beginning to end with Luck and with Indy this year. This isn't the same team now that we played in the opener and clobbered. We couldn't beat them again if we played them tomorrow.

McCoy did a great job of adjusting to the skills of his QBs and making something out of nothing but Manning has made his job somewhat easier this year especially as a play caller. The thing that impressed me most about McCoy is how he resurrected a pretty poor running game and made Knowshon Moreno a useful back again. It's all in the blocking scheme and he designed a good one. Manning took care of the other part for him.

My daughter is a huge Broncos fan and tells me if the Bears take McCoy away she's gonna be pissed.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

I thought of that too but Marv Levy took Buffalo to four Super Bowls when he was in his late 60s and Arians is only in his mid 50s so maybe the wisdom that goes with age is on his side.

Sometimes I wonder when that's gonna start working for me.

I'd be okay with either McCoy or Arians both have their pros and cons but with that being said we are lucky to have so many good potential canidates.

How many vacancies are left now? I know a couple of them have been filled. Would be nice to have candidates fight over the Bears for a gig, instead of battling other teams for candidates.

    I'm BACK, Jack... or something..
