Come on, Phil. Enough is enough. ^^
Choose one of the 13 candidates and we're done.

Adam Schefter just reported that San Diego really wants McCoy as well. Time is running out, Phil. You're gonna have to choose!

If McCoy is smart, he waits until he knows who really wants him and who doesn't. If they all really like him, they will wait 2-3 extra days

Not sure I understand. I didn't think you could deny a ST coach from an opportunity to interview for an HC position.
They way that the battle of the birds is going, Seattle is going to lose and we will not have have a candidate in the top four teams (a double-edged sword) that has been publicly announced. I'll tell you, if Emery is not going to make a choice next week, I'd be adding the ATL OC to my list. His game plan looks great.

That's the way I'd play it too. I'd say I was interested in all of them and try and wait for whoever I wanted to go to. You should be able to buy 2 -3 days like that.

I think those guys are able to make a decision right away. We still have a second round of interviews to go through, so will take us at least another half week. A few days into next week at the VERY minimum.
Hope it all comes together for us. I do think this is the plum coaching job, but when an offer is put on the table these guys may go for it.
BTW, Angelo is now a stronger candidate for the Jets. They are now going back to candidates that have turned them down and asking them to reconsider. I also read they are bringing Angelo back again. No one wants that job with Ryan there. They have a real problem.
But if you're Mike McCoy do you want to coach the Cards who have no QB, the Browns who have no defense, the Eagles whose fans throw batteries at Santa Claus or in Chicago with fans like the swell buncha guys we have around here?

Agree, we could use someone from the 49ers... their five offensive linemen.

I think it's because he's not looking at them as HC candidates but rather as a potential replacement for Toub is he leaves and Cleveland probably suspects that. If that doesn't happen this year it will sooner or later and my guess is that Emery may just be familiarizing himself with a few other should the need arise. The HC search allows him to do that on the sly while guys are still under contract elsewhere otherwise he couldn't.

But even if it is an OC interview on the sly, if he says he is interviewing for a HC, how can they turn it down? I must not understand the rule.
BTW, it looks like STL is actually going to overcome their huge deficit and will win. 25 secs left and one point ahead. A heck of a game
Edit: ATL comes back to win it!
ok, so unless Emery is looking at someone from the top four teams, all our guys are free with a Houston loss
