I'm wondering if trestman is being concidered for OC. That I wouldn't mind one bit, he had a résumé to suggest he could take cutler to the next level. Also if the "QB guru" came in wonder if he would butt heads with bates?
I honestly do not know what to expect with emery, whoever he takes I have confidence in him, seemly working his ass off to get the guy

Not according to Dan Pompei.
about 8 hours ago Is Mike McCoy fading as the Bears' top candidate? He could be, and this is why:
The Broncos OC has become a hot commodity in other locales. He has been requested to be interviewed for a second time by other teams. The Cardinals now appear to be the frontrunner to land him. But new teams, including the Chargers, also are interested. The Bears, meanwhile, may be turning their attention elsewhere.
I believe it's gonna be either Dennison or Trestman.

I'm really starting to think Seattle's oc would be 3rd best after Dennison and Arians.
Course, things would be a lot better if Tice were gonna stay here....

He coached for them before and turned Rich Gannon into and MVP and Super Bowl winner so you gotta think he's on their list and if the Bears are keeping their options open it just makes good sense that he'd do the same.
I think the first announcement this week of a new HC will be the Bears. As it stands that's the choicest position available right now. JMHO
I can't imagine a team really wants him when he battles for a spot with Martz ;-)

McCoy should have his 2nd interview today or tomorrow if we really want him.
Dennison talks too much about how muuuuch he wants this HC position with the Bears. I really don't care cause we can get the best guy. I trust in Emery and will have no problem with whoever he hires.
I don't really have a guy I would really want. Give me Dennison, McCoy... I don't care. Just don't see Trestman es fit and Arians is hyped by last year.

One thing the Chicago Bears don't need is anothe DC as there HC. The reason we are in the mess we are today is because we had a DC as our HC.

While Emery talked about being with his head coach during college all-star games, it's more important the Bears get a jump on filling out a staff for the new coach because with other openings closing, there is going to be a race to hire the best assistants.
This is my worry. Half of the equation is hiring a solid head coach. The other half of the equation is giving that guy time to cherry pick a great staff. One without the other means the Bears will continue to fall short of being a great team.

Dennison is here in Houston. He may talk about how much he wants the job, but he also is complaining that he wasn't really prepared because he was involved in preparing for the Patriots. No one else is complaining about that. It it was so important to him, he would have taken the time to be prepared. The best man will win.

ok, we are going to need an Emery tracker just like we do at Christmas when Santa has to visit billions of homes in just one night. Emery has almost as many interviews and we need to track him so we can continue to get our Bears news fix. We need a map of the world with little lights showing us Emery as he is in Tibet or the jungles of the Congo getting his man.
