Bring back Lovie Smith

Kelly to Browns seems to be done, Bills will hire Whisenhunt or Smith. That would leave us with 3 spots filled and 4 spots open
We have some good options open and it looks like we can pick the guy we want

soul, for what its worth, Ariens is 60, but your point about Marv Levy is a good one..
The Greatest form of revenge is MASSIVE success.

Those are great points. One thing that I'm wondering about, is which candidate can also build the best, rock-solid coaching staff. This was one of Lovie Smith's problems. A number of his positional coaches seemed sub-par, and of course he never did get one of his coordinator position's filled with a competent guy (OC).
The new HC needs to be a guy who has a great team vision for offense, defense and special teams - kind of like a tripod, if one of the tripod legs is weak, then everything collapses. Lovie could only get 2 of the 3 tripod legs in place. The new guy needs to have a solid vision for all 3. That's why it may make sense for the new guy to keep Toub and Marinelli if they will stay. Then focus on getting a solid OC - and much better offense position coaches to come to Chicago.
I'm wondering which of our candidates would best be able to build that coaching foundation. I believe Emery could be a big help here too.
Go Bears!

I'm BACK, Jack... or something..
