he wants top $$$$ another thing i wanted to comment on is Hester. WE ALL WANT TO MOVE ON but what if we put him back at CB like he starred in at the U. he had 5 INTS and 3 FF in his senior year plus KR and PR. I think Lovie screwed him up

Absolutely, but I think the damage is done, lovie didn't like the way he fit into his system and went on another mad scientist experiment

Spot on. Losing Hester, Davis, and Spaeth would have virtually no negative impact and would NET a $6.7 million cap space savings that could easily be better used elsewhere. The only one of those I'd consider keeping is Spaeth as a blocker but a pure inline/blocking TE isn't that hard to find nor is it expensive. We may already have one on the roster in Eldridge for conspiracy cheaper.

Assuming he doesn't retire, this is likely the last time Hester may still hold some trade value. TRADE HIM. Yes, I'd take a 6th and not turn my nose up at it.

not keeping Melton would creat a big hole on the DLine. We need him as pass rusher. If we let him go, I'd like to take a chance on Jason Jones

Grizz, for this early that's a pretty solid off season mock. I really like the idea of getting a LT in FA & drafting some inside guys. Well done.

I wonder how Emery will handle it if we don't/can't land a LT in FA. They may get re-signed or tagged or just go to other teams. Would he go hard after Levitre to be our LG? Would he go after Vollmer?

That right there is the weak link in the chain. Per his previous press conference, he explained how the plan was to grab a FA LT, but that some retired, some were signed and others were deemed as not being better than what we had (wonder if he had seen any film on Webb).

The very same sequence of events may happen this year. Any team with a potential LT FA knows that if they let him get to FA, we will probably go after him if he is any good. It might be even harder to find one this year. We pick at 20, so if he fails this year at LT, it could be ugly. That is a real possibility.

Good question MP. Hard to say. Levitre & Vollmer wouldn't be a bad backup plan. Can Vollmer play LT? Lets just hope they get one.

We really need a LT in FA that's the big piece. Worst case scenario we have to nab vollmer and give us a fighting Chance with 3 semi quality tackles for 2 to emerged better

If we miss COMPLETELY IMO we still build the interior via draft, we have more than one piece to replace and I'd rather have Webb be out there with a new G an or C or the future than reaching on a LT in round one, Webb being better and were left with at least 4/5 returning starters
