With new offense: coordinator/position coaches/playbook/scheme/players,
With new offense: coordinator/position coaches/playbook/scheme/players, what can we REALISTICALLY expect by the 1st regular season game? This has to be a major overhaul (at least), and a major gut-job (at most).
I realize we don't even know the coaches yet. We don't know what the roster will look like either. But assuming we bring in a solid coaching staff, and Emery fixes the obvious broken pieces this off-season, what is realistic to expect with the new offense?

Trestman - Kromer - Tucker - DeCamillis
I'm looking forward to seeing these guys coach. Hope they're good.

Fan expectations were off the charts this past season with Martz gone, Tice as our OC & Brandon Marshall on board. People were talking a possible Super Bowl appearance. But the offense never really materialized.
I'm thinking the Bears fans will, once again, be expecting a miracle happening & the offense to be stellar, right out of the chute this year. If they have these unrealistic expectations again, they may be setting themselves up for disappointment again. How much improvement do you think we'll see? What's the ceiling for the offense to get to in 1 off season?

I think it will be better than any Bears offense out of the gate. The majority of stupid mental mistakes will be gone from the offense. With THAT said, it will be too easy to overlook any mistakes early, if this coach can just achieve mediocrity on offense(minimum 16th place), but no matter what you think of Jay Cutler, you know with a healthier supporting cast (3 of 4 of his favorite targets dealt with injuries all year), Cutler should be no worse than pro bowl alternate each year.
Basically, I think a mediocre mind could cruise with a decent but slightly improved offense. I think average is the worst we should expect, barring injury. Realistically, if we get a good OC, who lets Marinelli do his thing, could have a high scoring offense, even if it isn't top 15 in yards, but points make all the difference

I don't know about all these polls but if there is an any semblance of an offensive line and just omitting the obvious mistakes Tice made along with some playcalling there should be at least a 6-8 ranking jump on offense in 2013.

I am expecting an above middle of the road offense - 13-17 rank and a top 8 defense with a decent run in the post season.
We will have most of our offense again next year. They will have a new system, but in all reality, they are used to picking up new systems. Hopefully, this will be the last one in a while.
Our main weaknesses on O were a really bad OL, an inneffective OC, bad usage of our O talent (Bush, Bennett, etc), and a large hole in the middle with our TE's. I expect all of these will be addressed. To what extent, I don't know. We will not have a top of the pyramid O because it takes a year or two in the system to get really good, but I think we will be much better than this year.
My concern is what we do to D (and how fast they are aging) and ST. When you have some of the best in a category, it's much easier to go down than it is up during any transitions. If this guy can make the O work while keeping our previous standards for O and ST, we will have a winner. A guy that will make it really click in the next several years.
GB better get better, because we are going to.

I vote "Other" for the simple fact that its impossible to tell what our offense will look like because we dont even know who our new coaches will be, and we still have a draft and FA period to go through yet.
I'm trying//to let go//of maybe//but maybe's just so//very interesting//Oh, what a thing.

Too hard to tell now.
If we get a total revamp up front I'm confident, if not i don't care what or who we have we will still suck the big one again

If we get a new scheme, OC(In which I highly belive in, bye Tice) a few mens to the Oline (FA LT, Oline in first round) then I belive it could look a bit nasty by the start of the season but we will make it up for it later in the season and once the playoff is a few weeks away we will be bringing our A game. (In case we dont have any major injuries) That is my guess.

need to wait for Free agency. We need sure OL help and to get this, we have to buy it.

I'd like to know who our early opponents are before making real predictions, but absent that, I suspect we will see both very good and bad offensive play in the early games, but that we will be just as successful as "the Lovie standard", provided our defense isn't going to experience the same types of growing pains.
I don't expect a superbowl appearance, but I do think things will come together by mid season and we will see a team that makes fans proud, regardless of W-L record.
