Thank you Dave Toub!

Loved Toub, just annoying to see him leave to a worse situation with no promotion. Not a troll, just bothered me to lose him for no reason.

It was actually the right move and showed pure class by Emery. I'm going to give you a shot at the head coaching gig, it didn't work out totally understand you not wanting to coach alongside the guy that beat you out for the job, let's get you placed somewhere new.

I never questioned Emery's class. I love Emery. I chose to voice my displeasure with Toub leaving angrily, most people chose not to, but either way everyone will miss him. I just meant that if there are people who turn down promotions to stay loyal to their contracts, its annoying to see something like this. Regardless, Toub was a great coach, sorry if my rant was taken the wrong way.

The Cheifs are getting one of the best SP coaches in the biz ... let's face it even the NFL tried to handcuff him at times with various rule changes, but Toub always seemed to adjust.

It will be interesting to see if Reid & Co. will be spoon feed Toub talent like Lovie & Co. did in Chicago, which was a large part in why our SP excelled for so many years in a row.

In the end though.. Toub is the highest paid SP coach in the history of the game now.

Exactly. Too much hate on him. He might be the biggest reason Toub was successful. Not knocking Toub. He was an excellent coach and that fake punt return with Knox was pure genius. Everyone is crucifying Hester as a WR but lets remember that he didn't want this. He was a DB with great return skills and he wanted to stay on defense. Heck if he woulda stayed on defense and was allowed to work on his craft, he might have been pretty good and we probably wouldn't even been congratulating Tim Jennings on making his first ProBowl. Lovie and Angelo pretty much told him that if he was gonna make any money in the NFL, it was gonna be as an offensive player, not as a backup DB.

He had a bad year as a return man this year but I still think he has alot left in the tank as far as return skills.

Who said anything about him leaving "Angrily?"

Go back and read the article Soulman posted. Toub was still under contract, and Emery allowed him to seek other opportunities. And Toub owes alot to Andy Reid, not only did he bring him in, whenever his contract was up, Reid was right there to snatch him so we had to pay more to keep him. Yes, it stucks losing him, and yes it sucks that it was a lateral move, but for everything Toub has done for us, we owed it to him to let him decide what is best for him, and moving to KC under Reid is clearly whats best for HIM. A real classy move by Emery.

Ah. Context is everything. That completely changes what you said. You can be angry/upset/displeasured about him leaving, but thats still no excuse to completely dismiss his work while he was here with the team and its definitely inappropriate to make statements like "he was itching to get out of here since we got him" unless you have any evidence to back up that claim. (again...im not saying that you CANT make that claim, but if you do you better have something backing it up)

Lol. I had the same look in 05 when trying to watch Tillman cover Steve Smith in the playoffs and everyone was calling for his head. Also like to point out that Hester as a rookie in the probowl was trying to cover receivers that most guys in the league couldn't cover. My point was he wasn't given a coaching chance to work on his skills. He has excellent hands for a *cough*DB*cough*. I'm pretty sure he woulda caught half of the pics that Jennings dropped last season.
