Distinct possibility Bates stays. Trestman knows his daddy. Doubtful on the OC part, tho.
Marinelli will stay.
Trestman has a small history with The Bears.

Actually I wanted to put a question mark at the end of that. I am not really an expert on assistant coaches unless they are Coaching the bears.
I ust saw Callahan and Trestman have worked together. But maybe OL Coach. It should be intereesting to see what assistants we get.

Marinelli did a pretty good job with the defense and deserves to stay.
OC Jeremy Bates
QB Steve Young
ST Cowboys' DeCamillis, Browns' Kris Tabor or ST assistant Kevin O'Dea
And maybe a new WR coach would be nice.

Bates maybe but I don't think so unless after Trestman meets with Jay he decides it's good idea to keep him. Maybe more as a QB coach and play caller. I'd like to see an OC who's a good line coach because we need to replace Tice in that capacity. In that regard he wasn't all that bad.
O'Dea left with Toub for KC and the Browns won't let Tabor out of his contract so of the guys Emery met with you've got DeCamillis, Armstrong, and the guys from Minny is Peifer or Peiper?
Drake won't be around. He was one of Lovie's guys and a brown noser. Not Trestman's style.
I think a lot of the defensive guys will be retained and don't count out Trestman bringing guys from his staff in Montreal. At least one or two of them anyway.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

As a Nebraska Cornhuskers fan, I still hold a lot of bitter feelings toward him for what he did to my team. He's supposed to be some kind of offensive genius, but I never saw it. He's the guy that when he played a team that had a 107th ranked run defense, and an 11th ranked pass offense.....he threw it 45 times. He just tends to overthink things. I'm not against passing the ball...but if the team has no DL.....run the rock.
He also came in and tried to take a bunch of run-blocking OL and option QBs and make them run the West Coast O. He showed no ability or desire whatsoever to make his scheme fit the players. It wasn't until he left that the 5th year QB that had ridden the bench had a breakout year.
