That means Tice is gone!
Not a bad idea. Seems to be a good oline coach, exactly what we need. Coached the Saint's oline for three years, Raiders' for three years and was an OL assistant in Tampa.
Welcome To Chi-Town!
Wow That was quick. I like the hire
No OC experience, though. I imagine Trestman will be the real OC and call the plays etc.
was that a trestman hire or do you think phil told him here is your oc... YOU willl still call plays tho
This is for the best. Purge the offensive side, keep pieces on D.
No idea for sure, but I suspect much of this was discussed during interviews. "Who would you bring in for..." and then the reasons, etc were discussed. And I'm sure that during the interview process Trestman reached out to some of them to be sure they would come on if he got the job. I think several of these hires will be quick
BTW: for me, this hire is out of left field. I have no idea if he is any good and I was hoping for an experienced OC. Trestman is a first year NFL HC and kind of wanted him to concentrate on being a HC. Especially since I think part of his being here is to help Cutler. If he is going to be part time QB coach and part time OC calling plays, when does he have time to get good at HC?
somebody said on the other thread that they worked together in oakland in 02-03 season.
