o lawd how ironic would it be that i came to the bears to get away from the jags who supposedly were going to get teblow (we arent now, thankfully) and now the bears might get him LOL
we better stay away from this bum and the distractions he brings.... i dont think he will be coming here

I just want us to win. If Tebow can help the team win, then great. If not, then forget him. Most folks are "over" the Tebow thing. His next stop won't be the Rex Ryan circus that we saw in New York.
I picture Tebow humbly having to accept being a TE or H-back or something like that. His QB dreams are over. He will quietly learn the new position and not be the distraction like he was as a quarterback on a New York team that already was a joke. The Jets are the most dysfunctional team in sports.

I'm not sure, I think with a phenomenal coach that could break him down and rebuild him he could be a qb somewhere down the line.
The read option will help his stock, and if someone could teach him how to throw a pass from the pocket (starting from scratch) he has the ability to throw on the run and make the correct reads out of a spread option
Not saying I want him as a bear, if we did get him just as a pure devolpment guy and an "oh shit" starter worst case scenario

thats the thing he isnt big enough or fast enough or any of that to make a position change.. bringing him on does more harm than good due to the circus it creates... i promise you, chicago does not want or need a ton of tebow followers on the message board or in the stadium chanting his name every incompletion cutler throws

If Cutler is damaged goods, Tebow would be those same goods thrown into a wood chipper and set ablaze. He hasn't shown anything that even remotely suggests he can be an NFL QB. How bad are you if you can't even beat out Mark Sanchez for a starting spot on a team that has no starting caliber QB? If you're looking for media attention he would be a great pickup. If you want to win football games........not so much.

what if? what if teblow didnt complete like 30% of his passes in preseason last year?
what if he wasnt so bad, that his first practice with the jets they all wondered what the hell did we just do?
what if he wasnt so bad that his teamates in denver were glad to see him go, and that during the season you had jets players coming out saying how awful he is
i mean what if pigs fly? dude has had 3 years in the nfl and his bounce pass is just as good as it was as a rookie.. now if chicago is tired of hinrich and nate robinson at PG these days, maybe they can give tim and his bounce pass a look

There are players in this league that are absolute bastards, criminals and thugs, and they are given a pass by media and fans, but when a kid expresses something that many would consider "good", he is ridiculed for it. If you watch, there are as many haters that follow him as there are groupies. For whatever reason, this kid is a freaking lighting rod, and for that reason alone, I would tend to stay away, but with all else being ignored and focusing solely on his abilities, I do not think he is so bad that he would not make a good back-up. Perhaps Campbell would be a better back-up under Trestman (even though he sucked this year), but he will likely cost 4 times as much also.
I'm a Christian. And I like Tim Tebow as a person (at least what we see through the filter of television). And I still think he isn't an NFL caliber QB. He just isn't. And that appears to be the consensus (if not the unanimous) opinion shared by NFL front offices now.
