Could be. Like I said, I'm not advocating for him here, I'm not a fan of his, I didn't bring it up and I really don't care. I just cannot remember so many people from so many different teams across an entire professional sports league literally going out of their way to hate on a guy, just because he isn't very good at the position he plays. I can imagine his schtick would get pretty old in the locker room, and I want no part of that. However, I have always been one of those that gets a little bent when people gang up on somebody, and that's what I feel has happened to this kid. I also know damn well that a HUGE amount of it is nothing less than religious persecution and man...I just don't like it. I'm a Christian, but I do not attend church, I do not profess any wholly alliance with any particular branch of the Christian faith, but I do celebrate Christmas because of the real reason and not because it's time for Santa.
I dunno. I know there are a lot of people that disagree with me, and frankly, I don't really watch him much, but the only thing he's done is be vocal about his faith (which many other athletes do too), and be less than good at his job. He gets more shit than a lot of guys in this league that commit crimes. People turn their heads for that as long as they play well, but not this kid. Something is wrong with this whole picture.
I don't disagree with you. I'm on "hating" on him for anything other than his on-field abilities. I just don't think he's a legitimate NFL quality QB and I think there are better ways to spend your resources than trying to convert him to another position. My critical opinion has nothing to do with his beliefs. In fact, I applaud him for being strong in the face of such negativity.
But yes, there is definitely a perverted sense of delight by a vocal minority about his athletic shortcomings. They were rooting against him because they think by some strange way, his failures validates their own hatred. I've never understood it and I know that's what you were talking about.
i dont think people are hating on him... they just dont think he is any good...
do you think its right that his followers got him the starting job in denver over both of the other QB's who reportedly were way ahead in terms of performance in practice?
im sure there are some people who dont like him for his faith, but that is a very small %
That's another genre that has health/death issues, too. And they don't have a union or figurehead to fight promoters for them. It's like, once they become broken toys, they are thrown away and are replaced by new toys. This list is unsettling. (sorry for going off-topic...Tebow rules)

CTE is rampant in professional wrestling like it is in the NFL. Obviously it's fake but they "sell it" and sometimes take a pretty big blow to the head. But unlike the NFL, they don't have a training staff or structure to keep these goofs from continuing their act after a concussion.
Fullback with a flea-flicker option.
