I'm totally fine with Lovie being gone.. i was very ready to move on. I don't know about coming off like he has the "fire" to win championships, that actually kind of contradicts the calm quiet demeanor that Emery said he liked about him. So he definitely fits the personality mold of a Chicago HC... haha... but he definitely seems to posess the football intelligence. Personality-wise... he comes off like a more intelligent Jauron.
I'm cautiously optimistic about him. I hope he's our HC for 20 years and wins 20 superbowls... haha... I just got a weird feeling about the guy from the presser. Hey, none of us here are experts, people rub people in different ways (giggity)... By no means am I rooting against the man. I want superbowls... many of them. Soon.
The thing also is the offensive play calling buck stops with Trestman; no longer will there be Lovie Smith standing on the podium looking clueless as to why the offense sputters.
Im kind of pumped for this offseason.

it will be really interesting to see the moves we make in FA and draft now.
I remember Cutler was at his best when they went no huddle last season. Trestman only had 20 seconds to get the plays in and if he keeps to that time constraint he can get many of the defenses off-balance who are not used to the rapid pace.
Cutler stated on ESPN 1000 that the verbiage of Trestman's system is very similar to what he ran in Denver.
I feel like Mordecai (the midget) in High Plains Drifter when Clint Eastwood made him the sheriff AND the mayor...
No more There's a lot of football left to play.
No more We like what we have.
No more We'll look at it and go from there.
Hot damn! I'm gonna declare a holiday!
