    Andy Bischoff | Montreal Alouettes

Andy Bischoff - Running Backs Coach, Special teams Coordinator

2012 - Bischoff is in his fifth season with the Alouettes working as the running backs coach, the assistant to the Head Coach Marc Trestman and enters his third year as Special Teams Coordinator. Under Bischoff’s guidance, first-year starting running back Brandon Whitaker rushed for a CFL-high 1,381 yards last season and Dahrran Diedrick led the team in rushing touchdowns with six, including three scored in a 36-23 win over the Argonauts.
Bischoff also left his mark on Special Teams, planning a direct snap to Marc-Olivier Brouillette in punt formation, which saw the backup safety scamper for a 72-yard touchdown against the Calgary Stampeders. Sean Whyte had a solid first season handling all three phases of the kicking game for the team. His season was highlighted in setting an Alouettes record with 24 consecutive field goals and being the East Nominee for Outstanding Canadian at the end of the season. Bischoff came to Montreal following 14 years with the Cretin-Derham Hall coaching staff in Minnesota, where he coached the Offensive Line and was the Assistant Head Coach. Bischoff’s teams played in four state championships and won in 1999. During his 14 seasons at CDH, his teams compiled a record of 168-22 and made the state playoff tournament 13 times. Aside from his football tasks, he was also the Dean of Students for 10 of his 14 years at CDH. Prior to joining the Alouettes in 2008, he was invited to coach in the US Army High School All-American Bowl, featuring the top 88 high school players in the US, in an All-Star game which is televised on NBC. He continues to work with the All-American game each year as the Director of Football Operations for the West Team, a role he has occupied for the last four years. During his years at CDH, he helped develop 18 offensive linemen who eventually made the step up to the NCAA division I-A level. Some well-known former players for the CDH Raiders include All-Star centre Matt Birk (Baltimore Ravens), quarterbacks Chris Weinke (Florida State Heisman Trophy Winner), Steve Walsh (Miami Hurricanes), and baseball player Joe Mauer (three-time American League Batting Champion and 2009 MLB MVP with the Minnesota Twins), as well as offensive linemen Ryan Harris (Denver Broncos) and Michael Floyd (Notre Dame/ Phoenix Cardinals) who was the #13 overall pick in the NFL draft this year. Bischoff graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in education from the University of South Dakota in 1994, and went on to complete a Master’s degree in Education Administration from Mankato State University in 1998. He then earned a Post Master’s MN licence in administration from St. Mary’s University in 2006. He is also involved in numerous clinics around US colleges. He is the proud father of Makena Kaylynn, 13, and Morgan Elizabeth, 10, both of whom are big Alouettes fans and engaged to Brittany Leigh Fleming planning a spring 2013 wedding.

    Pat Meyer | Montreal Alouettes

Pat Meyer - Offensive Coordinator, Offensive Line Coach

2012 - Pat Meyer is in his first season as the Offensive Line Coach for the Montreal Alouettes. Meyer joins the Alouettes after spending the last four seasons with the Colorado State Rams. Most recently, he served as the Rams’ Offensive Coordinator in 2010 and 2011 and as their Offensive Line Coach from 2008 to 2011.
Prior to his stint with Colorado State, the Youngstown, OH native worked with the Florida State Seminoles football’s program as a strength coach in 2007.
Meyer, 40, also spent seven years in the North Carolina State athletic department. After four seasons from 2000 to 2003 as the football team's head strength and conditioning coach, Meyer was named head of the entire athletic department's strength programs, a role he held from 2004 to 2006.
Meyer helped to condition and train five first-round NFL draft choices, including Mario Williams (2006), Philip Rivers (2004), Manny Lawson (2006), Koren Robinson (2001), and John McCargo (2006).
Meyer launched his coaching career at the University of Memphis, where he spent one season as a graduate assistant in 1997. Shortly after, he worked in the Tigers' strength and conditioning department, including five months as the director, from January to May of 2000.
As a player, Meyer was an offensive linemen at Colorado State for four seasons from 1991 to 1994. That same year, he helped the Rams to a Holiday Bowl berth against Michigan.
Once his collegiate career was over, he was signed by the NFL's Arizona Cardinals in the spring of 1995. His career as a player also landed him in the Arena Football League, where he suited up for the Saint Louis Stampede during the 1996 season.
Meyer and his wife, Erin, have three daughters, Christina, Emma and Sophia. He earned his bachelor's degree in exercise and sports science from CSU in 1995.

I'm assuming they were hired on with the same titles they hold, RB coach and OL coach?

Bischoff was our special teams coach in montreal and Pat Meyer was brought in last year as O-Line coach and was promoted as OC before Marc flew the coop. They are Marc's boys and will perform better in Bear land. Some Als fans will tell you they're happy to see Marc and Andy leave. What they won't tell you is that in spite of back to back championships the team couldn't fill a 25,000 seat stadium to support them. Therefore they had to work with a lot of restraints and of course the non-import to import ratio (you must have 20 canadians on each CFL team). With your team and your fan support and your resources they should flourish.

They could be Bob and Doug McKenzie for all I care, as long as they can coach so we can compete.
