So Marinelli quits, costing the job others, and just walks away from the players he was devoted to. Guess he wasn't a true team player. Just staying one more year could have helped EVERYONE.
The passion of a few, to rule the many, that's Washington D.C.. Where else was that said before, about whom?

Yeah at the very least it puts things in a quandry. I don't think we'll find someone better than Rod right off the bat. I also don't believe that keeping him would have disrupted the new dynamic all that much. I understand the need for a clean slate but it's not like his coaching or philosophy was substandard.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

Yeah, I think so. Even himself. If he wanted to go spooning with Lovie, he could have waited until next year when he may be back in the league and gotten that too. He let his guys down. Lovie is gone. This doesn't help get him back. And I think we stand a WHOLE lot better chance at the postseason than Dallas. If the team gets a ring in the next few years, he is going to be kicking himself.

Out of all the position coaches those three should definitely be retained. Losing Marinelli hurts a little already so we don't want to lose the whole defensive staff too.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

The guys who were let go are all offensive coaches and we already figured that would happen. None of the defensive position coaches are on that list and Marinelli decided to leave. He wasn't let go either.

That's my attitude about it too. Like I said I wish Dave Toub luck because I can understand why he left but all I wish Marinelli is good bye. He has a very loyal bunch of players he's leaving behind and I was one of them I would be mightily pissed.

Yeah good luck finding work mr 0-16...our core d staff is in place. I favor just reloading Hoke into the roll of dc and keeping the machine humming. Sucks to loose him but for walking out...ill enjoy kicking his ass IF he is back in the league

Drake is gone makes me really happy :D
Tice too
Babich too

This.
Also, I've always believed it was Lovie's defense, and not Marinelli's. Lovie had his faults, and was clueless about the offense, but he understood how to put together solid defenses. I'll give him that much.
