What title could you give him shorty? We just hired Tucker as DC so that's out and HC is too so all we could offer is what he is now. A LB coach with an Asst. HC tacked on to keep him safer and there's no way Trestman makes him an Asst. HC.
If he asks out of his deal with Minny to return to the Bears it's possible Frazier and the Minny GM may agree to do that like we did with Toub and O'Day but to be real honest with you I don't think that's gonna happen. He's probably not the best LB coach for a cover-2 team that plays it like we do.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

I'm just hoping that Tucker changes it up sometimes, at least within the constraints of his personnel. The fake A gap blitzes of the Bears had to make opponents laugh, because they did it so much. It's one thing to be proficient with a scheme. It's totally another to become allergic to adaptabilty or change. I don't want the Bears to become a "jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none" defense, but I would like to see them to at least have some looks to give Rodgers et al some pause when they look at it.

Exactly.
It seems like we often equate a good player as a good coach. That doesn't necessarily work out. Countless great players over the years have been bad at coaching. I love Singletary and the '85 Bears players, and always will. But I'm not sure Singletary is the best coach for us. In fact, I don't think he'd be a good addition at all.
He was an embarrassment at SF. I don't think players connect with that style of coaching best.
Trestman - Kromer - Tucker - DeCamillis
I'm looking forward to seeing these guys coach. Hope they're good.

I really felt embarrassed for the guy. He was a caricature. And I can't imagine guys like Briggs and Urlacher need that kind of guy anyway. I think the first time he dropped his pants to flash his private parts to those guys, well, he'd lose them at that point.
You don't need that to coach pro's.

This is exactly what I would laugh at almost every time that I saw Urlacher and Briggs acting like they were going to blitz on a lot of plays. If I wasn't faked out, do you really think the other team would be? It would be one thing if either Urlacher or Briggs blitzed on 25% of the times they faked, or even 15%, but an actual blitz by either of those two was extremely rare and thus was laughable.

Maybe the ideal is somewhere between Lovie on one extreme & Samurai Mike on the other. One might sleep through a game, while the other might run naked past his own bench to get his guys attention

If I remember correctly, he holds the dubious distinction of breaking more helmets in tackling (college), than anyone.
