He earned three consecutive Pro Bowl selections from 1996 through 1998 while also receiving the Steve Largent Award in 1998, presented each year to the player who best exemplifies the spirit, dedication and integrity of the Seattle Seahawks. He also played with the Philadelphia Eagles during the 2002 season.
He played at Eastern New Mexico University from 1986 to 1990. He was named the Lone Star Conference Defensive Lineman and Defensive Player of the Year in his senior season, recording 16 sacks. He was also named to the conference’s All-Decade Team.

If he's as good a coach as he was a player, it's another good hire for our Bears.
