I preffer them to stand on the sideline and come with inputs to the players, or just you know to cheer them up. That being said I don't have a problem if someone stays away from the game, like Cutler did when we played the 49'ers. It would have been nice to have him on the sideline to give inputs to Campell (not that it probably would have mattered)

Could be that he was asked to be up in the booth, so he could get a better look at things and help the coaches out.

With the "next man up" mantra of the NFL toady I don't think it matters much. I've heard players talk about when they are rehabbing that they feel out of place when inside of Halas Hall b/c they aren't in the mix and solely there to work with the training staff. Cheerleading on the sideline can only do so much. It does though tell a lot about the character of the player though injured... if they are on the sideline vs staying out of the way.

As far as with the Pats... it seems like their 'crown jewels' when injured always end up in Kraft's suite. I watched the NFL Life w/ Bill Belichick and its showed Wes Walker in the suite as well.

belichick doesnt allow his players on the field if they dont dress, it was either watch the game from the stands or in the booth. seems like a pretty easy decision to me
