And this is why I take Flacco, more attempts, less int's. cutler throws SLIGHTLY more TD's per attempt, .3, but Flacco throws just under 2x's less pics per attempt. In this era of the NFL, where it is so easy for O's to score, you cannot afford to give the ball back to the other team at a near 2x's as often clip. Would a better OL really help Cutler w/that? No it wouldn't b/c he threw a ton of pics in Denver when he had a great OL and WR's, AND a O minded HC. The days of the gunslingers is over folks it doesn't work in todays NFL. Hopefully Trestman can get that through to Cutler and he will improve to be better, or as good as Flacco, but if not color me over Cutler.

I guess I rank him #1 because he's the Bears #1 QB and Joe Flacco isn't and won't be and neither will Aaron Rodgers be or 30 other guys.

Jay Cutler is all I care about. Can you at least get that much out of what I posted? I don't care about Joe Flacco because he's not the Bears QB and he's not gonna be the Bears QB in 2013 or ever as far as I can see. So why would I even think about Joe Flacco as a Bear? If I'm gonna think about someone else then it would be Rodgers or Luck or a kid like Kaepernick not some guy who I don't think is even as good as the guy we have! Joe Flacco, yeah right.

You might be able to get a 2nd rounder for Cutler, I don't want Alex Smith, although he'd be a hell of a deal if you were wanting to draft a qb to develop for a year or 2. Smith benefits from no one being scared of him, or his weapons, and a willingness to shut down the run game. Problem there is that the OL is so strong and Gore is so powerfull it doesn't help, and Smith is able to do just enough. Not sure w/this OL, or even after we fix it next year, that it would be good enough to open holes for Forte when he's dealing w/8 man fronts, or give Smith the time he needs.
