If the Jackdonvilles of the world don't kick Campbell's tires, get him cheap, beg Chad Pennington to sign and draft matt scott. If they do, beg chad pennington to come over and draft matt scott. Really, any situation that ends with matt scott and chad pennington on the same football team is ideal.

I'd bring back Josh McCown as long as he agreed to work as the car parker in the stadium parking lot because that's all he's worth.

LOL, that's all he'd be paid too in NFL terms. Vet minimum. Jason Campbell was paid $3.5 million to do not much more. Those 2 yard dump offs on 3rd and 9 were a sweet return-on-investment.

Hanie showed us the opposite of the belief. Vet or develope is all a crap shoot. it really comes down to PICKING and DEVELOPING a player, something the Bears have not done since...... Well I'm old now and can't remember.
The passion of a few, to rule the many, that's Washington D.C.. Where else was that said before, about whom?

but Haine was a UDFA, you never expect much from them. You need to pick and develop Blanchard or another guy in the mid rounds b/c they have potential, and it won't just be sheer luck if they turn out. The difference between Campell and Haine was not the play though, it was the RoI and the cap hit.

Yeah IMO rd 4 or 5 are the only possible rounds that we go qb because we have needs at 1 and 2 and with 6 or 7 we are prolly better off with blachard
Trestman I have a hunch is going to want a fresh start with someone

Exactly, its not that a rookie is anymore of a guarantee than a vet. Most seend to think a vet was a guarantee, and that obviously isn't the case. What were saying is that a vet is just as unreliable as a rookie or young player. The down side is that they cost more, and cannot be developed into anything.

invest the damn money in the oline like we could have last season and we wont have to worry about this crap every year. Then we can draft anyone late and let them develop.
