He liked Lovie and Marinelli as men and he should have. There's a lot to admire in both. But even Brian has to admit that as a HC Lovie wasn't getting the job done on both sides of the ball and as long as he remained there seemed little likelihood of that changing.
He's a Bears MLB in the traditions of the rest of the Bears HOF MLBs and he's a Bear first last and always. I think he and Tucker will be talking the same language too and given a chance they'll do just fine together. Given his pride Brian won't allow himself not to come back strong next year. When he finally know that no matter how much he tries that can't be done THEN he'll hang it up. I'm sure of it.
