    Things are bad enough for the 49rs. They are facing a great team. Why on earth would you bench your starting QB?

    He's probably their best hope of coming back in this game.

    It isn't Kaepernick's fault. His QB rating in the game, right now, is 107.5.

    Just led yet another drive for a score. This game isn't over. Kaepernick is quite capable of bringing the Niners back for a win.

    I get it. The point was, at that moment, when no one knew how the game was going to go afterwards. Was he gonna make a comeback, or is he pulling a Big Ben/Bad Rex?

    No Idea why they benched Smith but they did a big mistake. Not saying Kaepernick is not a good QB, but he still is new, he needs more experience to be a very good QB. No matter how better is his arm and strength. Overall the game was great....
