Looks like Jared Cook won't be available during FA. Titans are expected to apply the franchise tag to their tight end by the March 4 deadline.

Here's the list of FA from PFW. I really like Michael Hoomanawanui (Patriots). I've watched him play since high school here in town. Great kid too.

Go Bears!
But but but he improved slightly from four years ago! He has so much promise! And, with a new coach/guru and some pixie dust he could be great! And and and and he could be cheaper than a replacement! Don't jump to conclusions!
Hopefully the mediocrity ends now, with the cutting of dead frickin weight. In more than one position.

Greg Olsen had a breakout season, and was a top-5 TE this year. At least I had the guy on my fantasy football team this year, so got something good out of him. We drafted him in the 1st round, then decided we didn't need no stinkin' receiving TE's (LOL, can you imagine a modern era NFL team that didn't believe in TE's????......other than using them to max protect??????). Holy cow. We had a doozer in Lovie Smith.
What did we get for him when Angelo ran him outta town?
I find it ironic that now that Lovie got rid of guys like FB Clutts (don't need no stinkin' FB's either), and Olsen - now we have to find these kindof guys again.
edit: We got a 3rd round pick for our 1st round TE. He had over 800 yards receiving this year, averaging over 12 yards a catch.

The Giants have a projected salary cap space of -$4.7 mil and two FA tight ends (Martellus Bennett and Travis Beckum). It would be nice to see them giving Beckum a new contract and letting Bennett hit FA.
Right now Bennett is #1 on my TE wish list. He's young, healthy and has the exact same size as Gronk. He looked like a bust in Dallas but since his arrival in New York he's been looking like a real monster at TE.
