And if we could get him later I'd love it, but reality says we need a lg because we have none and then a center Before we look to the tackle positions

Let's look at what happened with Carimi this year being rushed back to start in September when he wasn't in football shape yet. His pass blocking suffered and along with it his confidence. For what ever reason sometime a guy just isn't quite ready for prime time and needs a year of seasoning. NE was able to do that with Solder and from now on they'll most likely have a very good LT.

I'm not saying we shouldn't consider Johnson if he's on the board (doubtful) but if we do it should be more with an eye towards him starting in 2014 as opposed to 2013. That's why I favor guys like Cooper and Warmack who can start in 2013 and become difference makers.

Jackie, I am then last person to tell you we need to spend top picks on defense.

With that said, we have a decent LT with Webb (not good but doing ok)

In comparison, we have NO lg on the roster who isn't a laughing stock

I would love a dev LT with a longshot to start, but that wouldn't be a top pick.

Cooper would be too good good to pass
