I believe Carimi is going to take longer to recover both his physical and mental confidence well into next season. I hope he is brought back SLOWLY and fed into the new system bit by bit. I'd like to see him given every chance to show his potential just not hurried or rushed to band-aid the o-line that needs an overhaul not just a band-aid.

Carimi at og doesn't seem to work for me, he had issues with power and strength (partly due to the knee) and that won't bode well inside
He competes with Webb at RT and more than likely backs up and gets added to the Angelo bust list.

I think folks are worrying too much about Carimi. He got a serious injury at the beginning of his NFL career (especially serious for a 316 pound OL player who puts tremendous stress exploding out of a RT stance rep-after-rep). Before he could completely heal, he was pressed back into play - and he sucked. Only Tice would be stupid enough to put the player into a role that he was certain to fail due to health issues.
Also, keep in mind that he was basically a rookie last season too. Understand that the odds of a green as a gourd - injured - tackle performing well is just about nil. Isn't going to happen.
Gabe Carimi has talent. There is a reason why he won the Outland Trophy as the best lineman in the nation. He was a GREAT tackle. Everyone needs to chill a bit here. He will be solid for us this year - and at RT.

I'm looking forward to seeing these guys coach. Hope they're good.

That may end up happening but I'm nowhere near ready to give up on Carimi yet. Way premature for that. He's played basically one year and that was coming off injury and a substantial surgery. It took 3 years at full time, healthy play for Webb to get where he is so let's give Carimi a 2nd shall we?
