Now I see what everyone has been saying all along. If you look at this picture you will see everyone is smiling except for one guy #6, and he looks like he could care less.

And look at how Jay's holding that football. Clearly he had poor mechanics then too. He may have won the championship game, but they shouldn't be happy at all - when they have a QB with poor mechanics AND body language issues.

I'm looking forward to seeing these guys coach. Hope they're good.

And it's a problem that goes back to Jay's high school days at Heritage Hills High School in Indiana. Here he is winning the State Championship game. Clearly he had the body language problem, even back then (you have to look real close to see it in this photo, but it's there).
And if you listen to the first track on the original 1969 Led Zeppelin album (the 3rd track, "You Shook Me"), you can clearly hear Robert Plant's prophecy of a Bears QB from Indiana, who would have poor body language. If you still have a record player, you might want to listen to the track backwards to get the full effect. I'll bet you NOBODY at Halas Hall listened to this track before we traded for Cutler!!! I blame Jerry Angelo.

LOL, and rumor has it he and Kristin have been practicing voodoo magic for over a year now. Got to watch out fo' dat black magic wit' dat' mojo bag and da' black cat bone too.
I could care less how much he smiles for the camera. I don't smile in pics either. All he has to do is win. That's all I care about. Just win.

The group of people who go around saying "I don't like his attitude... ooo, I just broke a nail." Or "I don't like his demeanor... ooo, I just ruptured an anal fissure," are somewhat mornoic. They all want a Tom Brady because he can win a super bowl while making their panties moist. Same for the girls.
Guys like Tom Brady are once-a-generation. Understand that.

Rex too for that matter:
All Cutler can to is look like a silly mouth-breather when he's knocked out cold and concussed all the time. It's sad. Cutler should be smiling in these situations.
Of course Webb smiles a lot. He thinks it's funny as hell. Just bring on the 50-piece chicken nuggets & it's all good...

And if Cutler's smile is as goofy as all of these I can understand why he doesn't. I don't smile for posed pics either because I can't force a smile. Maybe Jay feels the same way. When something strikes him as being funny he does smile.
If you want me to smile say or do something that brings a smile to my face besides just saying "say cheese". That's how you get a Packer Fan to smile.

This is just my feeble attempt to bring some humor to the Cutler discussion. Most of us here realize Jay needs to get better. I don't think anyone denies that. But I do get tired of some people (not here on the messageboard) who "pile on" to making this all Cutler's fault......I just get tired of it. You see this in politics too. Folks will take a complex issue, and pick out one contributing factor and swear that one factor is responsible for the whole problem. It's usually horribly inaccurate, but the people are ignorant (or evil) enough to distort the facts this way.
I'm thinking we're going to see a much improved offense this year, and Cutler will be at the heart of it. Of course the media folks will never forgive Cutler now, for his perceived personality. It's unfortunate, because in truth, he seems to be a good guy, who is involved in a lot of good community based things here in Chicago. But of course the media heads want to ignore that fact, and crucify him for not having good body language - whatever THAT means.

"Trestman's hiring, however, is just the latest change of many that the Bears have made to cater to Cutler."
This is my favorite line lol
How exactly have they been catering to Cutler? Sure BM and AJ were added last year but that's it. Adding a coach(Martz) who's scheme doesn't fit the talent isn't catering. Getting rid of Olsen wasn't catering. Neglecting O-line needs isn't catering. Spending big money on backup Rb's isn't catering. And so on....I guess i'm just missing those MANY changes that were made for Jay.
