So many of these OL are looking phenomenal in drills even into my second viewing. A ton of not just quick and explosive athletes, but the flexibility on these big dudes is impressive. The top guys (1 and 1/2 guys right now), man-for-man all showed why they are at the top of these boards. Forget Chance Warmack's 40 and 10, he looked great in drills. Warfard, not so much -- He just has no flex. That's not to say he still isn't a good OG prospect, but I like mine more versatile and athletic with today's demanding schemes. Kyle Long is a total boom or bust guy, but his movement skills would be outrageously desirable past round three. Everybody's hero, but a guy I've never had a huge love for, Travis Frederick moves even lower down for me. Didn't move all too well in drills, didn't show strength on the press and he jump/10-yard split looked awful -- he looks like a power guard. Schwenke, as expected, is the better C prospect. This isn't just a Combine reaction, but an affirmation of my thoughts of him as a stiff. The other Travis (Bond) had himself a really nice day out there and won himself a little cash with his bend for such a huge dude on drills. Alvin Bailey really opened my eyes on drills, he bends lower to the ground on these movement drills than almost any other prospect out there. Armstead and Lane Johnson were long known freaks. so their numbers weren't too shocking, but man those guys are nice fits at LT with their feet and athleticism. I now get why Bakhtiari came out early, and I'm going to have to watch some more Bufs tape to see if these top motch movement skills are true to game day. Pugh is a OG, and a darn versatile one, too. Painter continues his climb and showed off extremely nice feet in drills. One of my favorites, Tretter, also added some digits to his rookie paycheck as he was everything expected from tape as a man amongst boys and then some when measured next to the elites -- awesome day for him. Continuing on small school guys; Watford, Quessenberry, Mills and Gilkey all showed up big on drills and measurables.

Dion Sims looking very good from the limited view of TEs we got today, hopefully he can stay til day three for us. He's the one TE I have mentioned as far back as October who I think makes that immediate contribution because of his blocking skills combined with hands, and he really impressed me with how he looked slimmed down. Vance McDonald solidified his ever-rising stock and moved incredibly well out there today while showing off soft hands. The NFL network really did everyone a disservice today by going the media fluff route and jumping away from the TE drills to show Manti's presser. Seriously, they probably showed 5% of the TE drills while showing the Manti pesser and jerkoffs in the booth talking about Manti 50% of the time and the rest was commercials, talking about Eifert and highlights from the OL group. Just pathetic coverage, absolutely ****ing pathetic.

Terron Armstead, a 306-pound tackle, runs a jaw-dropping 40

Unless you’re a hard-core draft junkie or a fan of Arkansas Pine-Bluff, you’ve probably never heard of Terron Armstead. But he just did something unprecedented at the Scouting Combine.
Armstead ran his 40-yard dash in an unofficial time of 4.65 seconds, which is stunningly fast for a 306-pound offensive tackle. NFL Network’s Mike Mayock said he had never seen an offensive lineman finish a 40 in less than 4.7 seconds, and according to NFL.com, the Combine record for an offensive lineman before Armstead’s stunning run this morning was 4.84 seconds, set by Allen Barbre in 2007.
Armstead is a freakish all-around athlete who was also an outstanding shot putter in college, but the question, of course, is whether he can translate that athleticism to playing at the NFL level. And on that score, the early indications are good: Although he didn’t play against high-quality competition at Arkansas Pine-Bluff, he was a good college player who was so impressive at the East-West Shrine Game that he got a late invitation to the Senior Bowl.
So there are signs that NFL scouts think Armstead can play. We certainly know he can run.
UPDATE 12:51 p.m. ET: Armstead’s official time was 4.71 seconds, the fastest ever for an offensive lineman at the Scouting Combine. Oklahoma’s Lane Johnson was right on Armstead’s heels with an official time of 4.72 seconds, the second-fastest ever for an offensive lineman.
Looks like we got some fast O-linemen. I heard Armstead did 31 reps. Idrc for this stuff, but I figure you guys might.

I've never seen a draft this loaded with top OL talent. NEVER. It would be a travesty if we don't draft 2 OL guys this year. This is the year to load up on top quality talent at OL.
Trestman - Kromer - Tucker - DeCamillis
I'm looking forward to seeing these guys coach. Hope they're good.

Jonathan Cooper is a beast. He's smooth, powerful and shows great flexibility. He's ranked as the 11th overall player in this draft. It sure would be great if he fell all the way to #20 and we grabbed him.
EDIT:
....holy cow, they had him snapping the ball on the pulling drill. I'll bet he'd be a weapon at center.

Yep a good year to be needing OLineman. The more some of these guys push up the charts the better the chance for a few really good players to still be around at #20. A versatile as Cooper is showing he can be he may even move ahead of Warmack.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

Anyone else notice that 40 times are being run pretty fast (at least unofficially)? Again, the combine means far less to me than it does most on here, but it's interesting that this is a "fast" draft. Looks like we could get a ST gunner or two, if the results keep up like this..

Onterio McCalebb just ran an unofficial 4.21. He's here as a HB, but he's a Return/Slot prospect as a pro. That's impressive, but he weighs 168. The really impressive time came from Knile Davis who ran a 4.3 at 5'10" 227, that boy just got himself drafted and mucho bucks.

with the depth of this draft when it comes to OL, you think it'd be foolish to take OL in the 1st
Holy shit, there are some fast guys this year. Fastest Lineman, that one guy that just came close to break CJ28s record

No, depth is great, but the top of this interior board is rare and phenomenal -- not to mention head and shoulders above that second tier in every way imaginable.
