McCalebb's 40 got adjusted to 4.34 and Davis to 4.37. Davis and my dude Christine Michael looking awfully good for late rounders.

Matt Scott is grading in the top 3 or 5 on everything. If he nails the interview/does everything else well, I could see him MAYBE making it all the way up to the third. The only thing I would have concerns over is his only getting one full season in as a starter. He's a team player, and obviously a pretty smart dude, so I'd be really happy with Emery drafting him from the 4th on. Would be a step up physically (over McCown) and financially(Campbell) over our backups.

Don't obsess over the guy, spending one our precious few valuable picks on him would be dumb. We need a lot depth and stand to get an infinitely more contributory guy before rounds 6 than a QB prospect. If someone falls to round 6, sure, but 1, 2, 4 and 5 need to bring immediate contribution and depth.

Don't disagree Sox, but I think the #2 qb behind Culter is likely to have immideate contributions weather the team likes it or not ;p

I don't want a rookie QB anywhere near the field. It's great when a Kirk Cousins falls into the fourth and you want a backup plan to your other rookie QB, but Matt Scott is no Kirk Cousins. He very well could be a much better pro than collegiate, because his skills are all desirable, but I need a little more proof in my pudding for our situation to spend the pick needed to grab him.

I have my reasons for wanting him drafted by the Bears, but this is one of the most athletic guys in the draft this year, and seeing how FA and surprise cuts work, I'd take him. We really need to get rid of McCown and Blanchard. Still amazed at how people loved Hainie for "almost" coming back in the NFCC, then plays like crap the next year, and still love this guy, even tho he had 2 decent games (decent by Chicago QB standards). But yes, we HAVE to have a good backup, as Cutler's had a good number of concussions, which get worse with each racking. I also don't see any combination of FA and draft picks that will show immediate improvements over the currently configured line early on(at least from a gaffe perspective)

Looks like there will be plenty of risers on the OL this year after the combine. Star looks to be falling down the draft charts. Has big health concerns

Yup very sad or him, so horrible that things like that can end a very promissing football career. I just hope there will be some combine champions so Cooper/Warmack can fall to us.

Well we'll disagree w/that..no cap space of a "vet backup" is worth the losses he will cost your team compared to a rookie's cap space and the losses he'll cost you. Vet backup qb's are expensive and don't equate to wins, I would rather see a rookie make mistakes and blow games then a vet it's more excusable and the team wasn't hampered by cap issues.
